Ahmad Amzad Hashim
Datuk Ahmad Amzad bin Hashim ( Jawi احمد امزاد بن هاشم; born 15 January 1970) is a Malaysian politician who has served as Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation for the second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Minister Adham Baba since August 2021. He served his first term in Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Khairy Jamaluddin from March 2020 to August 2021 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Kuala Terengganu since May 2018. The Malay language has a complex system of styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore and several provinces in Indonesia regularly award honorary and life titles. What follows in this article is specific to the Malaysian system. Previously, he served as Minister of Health from 2020 to 2021 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tenggara from 2004 to 2008 and again from 2018 to 2022, having previously been Member of the Johor State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Parit Raja from 2008 to 2018. Before being appointed to ministerial positions, Adham served as Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Higher Education from 2004 to 2008. The National Trust Party (AMANAH; ms, Parti Amanah Negara), is a registered political party in Malaysia advocating a reformist strand of political Islam.
