Aharon Amar
Aharon Amar ( he, אהרון אמר), is a former Israeli association football, footballer for Maccabi Haifa F.C., Maccabi Haifa. Sports career Amar was discovered by Haifa, when word of mouth got around that a local kibbutz had a new immigrant that was an amazing footballer. After scouts saw him play, he was immediately signed and enjoyed immediate success with the ''Greens''. This led to Amar being called up to the Israel national football team, where he played in the win over Yugoslavia. He played 14 times for Israel between 1958 and 1961. He scored a league record seventeen goals in the 1958–59 Liga Leumit season. He was the last Maccabi Haifa player to top the league goalscoring until Zahi Armeli scored 25 goals in 1987–88 Liga Leumit, 1987–88. 1987–88 Liga Leumit
The 1987–88 Liga Leumit season saw the league experiment with a split-league system. After the first two rounds (26 matches), the league split, with the top eight clubs forming a ''Championship group'' and the bottom six forming a ''Relegation group''. Within the groups, the clubs played each other once more. Hapoel Tel Aviv won the title whilst Hapoel Lod and Maccabi Petah Tikva were relegated to Liga Artzit. Zahi Armeli of Maccabi Haifa was the league's top scorer with 25 goals. The following season the league continued to use the split league system, but had six clubs in the Championship group and eight in the Relegation group. Israel International Footballers
The Israel national football team has represented Israel in international association football since 1934, when it played its first official game (as Mandatory Palestine or ''Eretz Israel''—"Land of Israel") against Egypt. It is fielded by the Israel Football Association (IFA), which has governed football in the country since 1928, and has borne its present name since the foundation of the State of Israel in 1948. Israel competed as a member of the Asian Football Confederation from 1956 until 1974, when it was expelled for political reasons; it then played without formal affiliation to any regional bloc for two decades. Moroccan Jews
Moroccan Jews ( ar, اليهود المغاربة, al-Yahūd al-Maghāriba he, יהודים מרוקאים, Yehudim Maroka'im) are Jews who live in or are from Morocco. Moroccan Jews constitute an ancient community dating to Roman times. Jews began immigrating to the region as early as 70 CE. They were later met by a second wave of migrants from the Iberian peninsula in the period which immediately preceded and followed the issuing of the 1492 Alhambra Decree, when Jews were expelled from Spain, and soon afterward, from Portugal. This second wave of immigrants changed Moroccan Jewry, which largely embraced the Andalusian Sephardic liturgy, to switch to a mostly Sephardic identity. The immigration of Moroccan Jews to Israel has occurred throughout the centuries of Jewish history. Zahi Armeli
Zahi Armali ( ar, زاهي أرملي, he, זאהי ארמלי, born 25 October 1957) is a former Arab-Israeli footballer. He started his career at Maccabi Shefa-'Amr, and a holder of many records at Maccabi Haifa. Early life and career Armali was born and raised in Shefa-'Amr, Israel, to an Arab-Christian family. He started his professional career at Maccabi Shefa-'Amr. After a few years he spent playing in the lower leagues he signed a contract with Maccabi Haifa in 1983. During his seven-season career at Maccabi Haifa, Zahi won three championships. He remains the club's record goalscorer with 90 league goals in 179 games. The French protectorate in Morocco (french: Protectorat français au Maroc; ar, الحماية الفرنسية في المغرب), also known as French Morocco, was the period of French colonial rule in Morocco between 1912 to 1956. The protectorate was officially established 30 March 1912, when Sultan Abd al-Hafid signed the Treaty of Fez, though the French military occupation of Morocco had begun with the invasion of Oujda and the bombardment of Casablanca in 1907. The French protectorate lasted until the dissolution of the Treaty of Fez on 2 March 1956, with the Franco-Moroccan Joint Declaration. Kibbutz
A kibbutz ( he, קִבּוּץ / , lit. "gathering, clustering"; plural: kibbutzim / ) is an intentional community in Israel that was traditionally based on agriculture. The first kibbutz, established in 1909, was Degania. Today, farming has been partly supplanted by other economic branches, including industrial plants and high-tech enterprises. Kibbutzim began as utopian communities, a combination of socialism and Zionism. In recent decades, some kibbutzim have been privatized and changes have been made in the communal lifestyle.
