Ahamed Siraj Kwikiriza
Ahamed Siraj Kwikiriza was a Ugandan religious leader. He was the District Qadi of Mbarara District under the Ankole-Kigezi region until 1 September 2017. Death Aged 50, Kwikiriza died in a motor accident on 1 September 2017 at Independence Park driving Pajero number UAH 984N rushing from the market to lead Eid-Adhah prayers at Abubakar Mosque in Kakoba division. He was with his son who died on arrival after being rushed to Mbarara referral hospital. At the time of his death, Siraj had replaced Shiekh Ramadhan Khamis who had been accused of selling muslim property. Abdullah Mukwaya
Abdullah Muhammad Mukwaya is a Ugandan teacher and religious leader who is the current District Qadi of Mbarara District under the Ankole-Kigezi region. Career Qadi: 2019–present He was inaugurated into power on 24 April 2019 in the attendance of the President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as chief guest of the ceremony and the Supreme Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Mubajje. The president also laid a foundation stone for a multi-billion Supreme General Hospital, a new project in Mbarara Municipality that is being undertaken by Muslims in Mbarara district. The president also gifted the Mukwaya with a brand new car. The inauguration was led by Sheikh Ahmed Nyago, the chairman of the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council electoral commission. Ramadhan Khamis
Ramadhan Khamis is a Ugandan religious leader. He was the District Qadi of Mbarara District under the Ankole-Kigezi region until 10 October 2016. Suspension and removal Sheikh Ramadhan Khamis, along with two other Muslim leaders, was accused of selling Muslim property and later suspended over the alleged fraudulent sale of Muslim land. The suspension would be announced by the chairman Uganda Muslim Supreme Council, Sheikh Adam Swalleh, in a press briefing at Mbarara Main Mosque and later officiated by the Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Ramadhan Mubajje. Mbarara City is a city in the Western Region of Uganda and the second largest city in Uganda after Kampala. A qāḍī ( ar, قاضي, Qāḍī; otherwise transliterated as qazi, cadi, kadi, or kazi) is the magistrate or judge of a '' sharīʿa'' court, who also exercises extrajudicial functions such as mediation, guardianship over orphans and minors, and supervision and auditing of public works. Uganda is an overwhelmingly Christian majority country, with Islam being the second most widely professed faith. According to the 2013 National Census, Islam in Uganda was practised by 13.7 percent of the population.
