Aguazul
Aguazul () is a town and municipality in the Department of Casanare, Colombia. Its economy is dependent on oil, mainly Cupiagua and Cusiana fields. Other important products of its economy are livestock and rice. As of 2004, Leonel Torres has been mayor of the city. History "La Violencia" During the time known as ''La Violencia'', or "The Violence", Aguazul, as well as most of Casanare, was controlled by liberal guerrillas. The region was a political and military zone of influence, even being declared independent by the promulgation of the Vega Perdida Constitution. In those times, Aguazul was known as Sevilla and was an important trade center and one of the few passage ways for livestock for the inner meat market. Municipalities Of Colombia
The Municipalities of Colombia are decentralized subdivisions of the Republic of Colombia. Municipalities make up most of the departments of Colombia with 1,122 municipalities (''municipios''). Each one of them is led by a mayor (''alcalde'') elected by popular vote and represents the maximum executive government official at a municipality level under the mandate of the governor of their department which is a representative of all municipalities in the department; municipalities are grouped to form departments. Casanare Department (, es, Departamento de Casanare) is a department in the central eastern region of Colombia. Its capital is Yopal, which is also the episcopal seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Yopal. It contains oil fields and an 800 km pipeline leading to the coastal port of Coveñas owned by BP. Frank Ramírez
Frank Augusto Ramírez Mateus (12 February 1939 – 19 February 2015) was a Colombian actor and television director, playing roles in various series, both American and Colombian. Biography Ramírez was the son of Jorge Ismael Ramírez Rojas, pharmacist and member of the Colombian Liberal Party, and Cecilia Mateus Rico. Ramírez studied at the Escuela Nacional de Arte Dramático in Bogotá, but left for the United States in 1964, studying under Actors Studio tutelage. While in the U.S., he took on roles in series such as ''Barnaby Jones'', ''Lou Grant'', and ''The Flying Nun''. After returning to Colombia, he appeared in the films ''Cóndores no entierran todos los días'' (1984), '' La estrategia del caracol'' (1993), and the telenovela '' La Saga, Negocio de Familia'' (2004). Colombia is a unitary state, unitary republic made up of thirty-two departments (Spanish language, Spanish: ''departamentos'', sing.
