Agony (band)
Agony is a Colombian metal band formed in Bogotá in 1992. History The band was founded by guitarists Ernesto Robayo and Andrés Jaramillo, two high school friends that shared a common interest in heavy metal. Once in college, Ernesto met Alfonso Pinzón, who became the drummer and in turn invited fellow classmate bassist Héctor Lozano. Ernesto Velasco joined in last, after auditioning to become the lead singer. This original configuration of the band recorded the self-titled demo tape in 1994, with seven songs. The demo tape quickly spread among Bogotá's metal fans after its release. The band participated in the first version of the Bogotá rock festival that became Rock al Parque. Founding member Ernesto Robayo and Ernesto Velasco both left the band by the end of 1994, and were replaced by Carlos Marín (guitar) and César Botero (lead singer), respectively. Cello Dias
Marcelo "Cello" Dias is a Brazilian musician. He is the bassist of Against All Will and former bassist of Soulfly. Biography The Mist Dias began his career in 1988 playing bass for the Brazilian thrash metal band The Mist, who had just changed their name from Mayhem following a number of lineup changes. On their first album ''Phantasmagoria'' released in 1989, they most notably featured Chakal singer Vladimir Korg on vocals and boasted a twin guitar lineup displaying a progressive mix of aggressive thrash and gothic atmosphere. For their second album, 1991's ''The Hangman Tree'', former Sepultura guitarist Jairo Guedz took over full guitar duties for the band, reducing the band to a four-piece whilst further expanding the unique sound of the debut. Pantera () is an American heavy metal music, heavy metal band from Arlington, Texas formed in 1981, and currently comprised of vocalist Phil Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown, and touring musicians Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante. Rock al Parque is a free rock music festival which has taken place in Bogotá, Colombia, since 1995. It typically gathers more than 50 bands and as many as 400,000 spectators. It is considered the largest rock festival in Colombia and one of the most important in Latin America. Its programme also includes ska, punk, hardcore, metal, and other genres.
