Agnishapath
Deepak Adhikari (born 25 December 1982), known by his stage name Dev, is an Indian actor, producer, singer and film writer, known for his works in Tollywood, and more recently, a politician. He owns the production house Dev Entertainment Ventures Pvt. Ltd. Born in Keshpur, he made his acting debut in the 2006 film '' Agnishapath'' opposite Rachna Banerjee. Dev faced flak after the film was released, and it turned out to be a critical and commercial flop. His starring role in '' I Love You'' opposite Payal Sarkar was his breakthrough. Directed by Ravi Kinnagi, the film was critically unsuccessful, but was commercially successful and was quick to resurrect his career. Despite the success, Dev didn't get any work for the next fourteen months. He made a comeback on the silver screen with ''Premer Kahini'', opposite Koel Mullick, his first with whom he went on to star with in numerous films. ''Premer Kahini'' (translation: ''Story of Love'') is a 2008 Inidan Bengali-language romantic drama film directed by Ravi Kinagi and the cinematography was done by Chota K. Naidu. Challenge (2009 Film)
''Challenge'' is a 2009 Indian Bengali action romance film directed by Raj Chakraborty. The film stars Dev and Subhashree Ganguly. For few scenes and music-videos, shooting was done in Dubai. The film is a remake of Telugu movie '' Dil'' (2003). Plot Abir joins a college where Pooja, daughter of a ruthless businessman, is studying. Her father is very obsessive and conservative in taking care of Pooja and does not tolerate if anyone directly or indirectly disturbs Pooja. Abir is ragged by a bunch of students, in return he smashes all of them. He also confronts her father's henchmen and makes them say sorry to him when they misbehave with him before his fight to the students. This is seen by Pooja and she gets impressed of him. She falls in love with him, which in turn he reciprocates. This is found by Pooja's father. The rest of the story is how Abir and Pooja unite, after a series of events.
