Agnete Kristin Johnsen Saba (born 4 July 1994), also known as Agnete Saba, Agnete Johnsen or simply Agnete, is a Sami-Norwegian singer and songwriter. Saba is best known for being the lead singer of the Norwegian teen punk band the BlackSheeps. She represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 as a solo artist with the song " Icebreaker". Life and career Early life and career Saba was born as Agnete Kristin Johnsen on 4 July 1994 in Varangerbotn in Nesseby Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. She is an ethnic Sami and the daughter of Sami children's author Signe Iversen. In 2020, she changed her surname to her grandmother's maiden name Saba. The BlackSheeps were formed in 2008 while its members were attending school in their hometown of Nesseby. They later won ''Melodi Grand Prix Junior 2008'' with their song "Oro jaska, beana" ("Be quiet, dog") which was performed in both Norwegian and Northern Sami. or (also unofficially ''Uuniemi'' in Kven) is a municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Varangerbotn. Other villages in Nesseby include Gandvik, Karlebotn, Nesseby, and Nyelv. The European route E06 and European route E75 highways intersect at Varangerbotn in Nesseby. The municipality is the 62nd largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Nesseby is the 343rd most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 854. MGP Nordic 2008
Melodi Grand Prix Nordic 2008 was the fourth Nordic Melodi Grand Prix, a Scandinavian song contest for children aged 8 to 15. The contest was held on November 29, 2008 in Aarhus, Denmark and the participating countries were Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Each country submitted two songs to participate in the first round with the top placing entry from each country proceeding to the super-final. The winner of the MGP Nordic 2008 was Norway's The BlackSheeps with " Oro jaska beana". Format Each country partakes in a national selection for MGP Nordic. Kjetil Mørland
Kjetil Mørland (born 3 October 1980), better known as simply Mørland, is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. He represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 along with Debrah Scarlett with his song "A Monster Like Me". Career Mørland fronted the band Absent Elk from its 2008 inception, releasing the album '' Caught in the Headlights'' in the spring of 2009. The band supported The Script, The Hoosiers and Girls Aloud on UK tours before going on to tour the UK themselves in June 2009. In 2015 Mørland wrote "A Monster Like Me", and performed it at Melodi Grand Prix as a duet with Debrah Scarlett. Carina Dahl (born 15 August 1985) is a Norwegian pop singer. Biography Dahl participated in Big Brother 2006, a joint program shared by broadcasters in Sweden and Norway. She was the last housemate to be voted off before the finale, spending a total of 107 days in the house. Dahl has for many years worked as a glamour model and was voted "Årets gatebilbabe" in 2005 in Norway. Joakim With Steen (born 26 June 1989), better known as Jowst (usually stylised JOWST), is a Norwegian music producer and songwriter. He represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Grab the Moment", along with vocalist Aleksander Walmann finishing in 10th place. Early life and career Steen was born in Trondheim and raised in Tiller. At age 14, his family moved to Steinkjer. At the age of fifteen his main focus was guitar, punk, songwriting and band.
