Agha Sabir
Agha Sabir (born 8 April 1981) is a Pakistani first-class cricketer who has been part of Pakistan domestic cricket since 2001. Agha Sabir started his first-class career for Pakistan Customs. In 2005, Agha Sabir was recruited by Pakistan International Airlines as a professional cricketer. Early career Agha made his first-class debut in 2001 at the age of 20. Pakistan Customs selected him for the PCB Patron's Trophy in 2001. Agha scored his maiden first-class century against Pakistan International Airlines in his second game. He ended up scoring 196 in first innings with twenty-one fours and six sixes. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but it was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs. At a meeting of the Imperial Cricket Conference (ICC) in 1947, it was formally defined on a global basis. Pakistan Customs Cricket Team
Pakistan Customs cricket team were a first-class cricket side of no fixed abode that played in domestic tournaments in Pakistan from 1972–73 to 2009–10, representing the Pakistan Customs service. They never won the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, but did win the Patron's Trophy once. They played 122 matches, with 25 wins, 56 losses and 41 draws. Their highest score, and only double century, was 210 not out by Imraan Mohammad against Gujranwala in 1999–2000. Their best innings bowling figures were 8 for 64 by Nadeem Iqbal against Habib Bank Limited in 1998-99. Pakistan International Airlines Cricket Team
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) cricket team was a first-class cricket side sponsored by the national flag carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), and was based in Karachi before its disestablishment in 2020. They have won the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy more times than anyone else. They played their first first-class match in 1960-61, under the captaincy of Hanif Mohammad. Quaid-e-Azam Trophy
The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is a domestic first-class cricket competition in Pakistan. With few exceptions, it has been staged annually since it was first played during the 1953–54 season. Domestic cricket in Pakistan has undergone many reorganisations, with the number of teams and matches in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy changing regularly. Since the 2019–20 season it has been contested by six regional teams, having previously been variously contested by associations or departments, or a combination of the two. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket.
