Agathe Poschmann
Agathe Poschmann (born 18 January 1922) is a German actress of stage, radio and film. She frequently played a young lover on the stage. Life Poschmann was born in Bochum, North Rhine-Westphalia in 1922. She trained in Berlin from 1940 to 1942 making her debut in 1943. After the war, the eastern part of Berlin was part of a larger Soviet occupation zone. The Deutsches Theater reopened in September 1945 under the leadership of Gustav von Wangenheim, and she was a member of the company. She appeared as "Recha" with Gerda Müller in a production of Lessing's ''Nathan the Wise'' at the Deutsches Theater, Berlin. from the Berlin production; retrieved 27 July 2015. Gustav Von Wangenheim
Gustav von Wangenheim (born Ingo Clemens Gustav Adolf Freiherr von Wangenheim; 18 February 1895 – 5 August 1975) was a German nobleman, actor, screenwriter and director. Life Wangenheim was born Ingo Clemens Gustav Adolf Freiherr von Wangenheim in Wiesbaden, Hesse, to parents Eduard Clemens Freiherr von Wangenheim and Minna Mengers. Both of his parents were performers; his father, who used the stage name Eduard von Winterstein, appeared in over 200 films between 1910 and 1960. He briefly served in the Imperial German Army during World War I but was discharged in 1915 because of an eye injury. Wangenheim made his screen debut in 1914 in ''Passionels Tagebuch'' and went on to star in many silent features. Among his works were Fritz Lang's early science fiction film, ''Frau im Mond'' (as "Windegger"), and Karl Heinz Martin's ''Das Haus zum Mond''. Gerda Müller
Gerda Müller (30 July 1894 – 26 April 1951) was a German stage actress. Life Gerda Müller was born near Rößel (since 1945 part of Poland) in rural East Prussia. She studied at the "Max Reinhardt" stage school (as it was known at the time) in Berlin, where she was taught by Lucie Höflich, Hermine Körner and Eduard von Winterstein. Between 1917 and 1922 she worked at the Schauspielhaus in Frankfurt. At Frankfurt she was in the original production of Arnolt Bronnen's ''Vatermord'' (''"Patricide"''). In 1922 she moved to Berlin where she worked with Leopold Jessner at the Prussian State Theatre, which at that time was one of Germany's top theatres. During her time in Berlin with the State Theatre company she also made regular guest appearances at the Deutsches Theater, the Lessing Theater and the Schiller Theater, working with leading directors such as Heinz Hilpert and Bertolt Brecht. Gotthold Ephraim Lessing
Gotthold Ephraim Lessing (, ; 22 January 1729 – 15 February 1781) was a philosopher, dramatist, publicist and art critic, and a representative of the Enlightenment era. He is widely considered by theatre historians to be the first dramaturg in his role at Abel Seyler's Hamburg National Theatre. The Deutsches Theater is a theater in Berlin, Germany. It was built in 1850 as Friedrich-Wilhelm-Städtisches Theater, after Frederick William IV of Prussia. ''Raid'' (german: Razzia) is a 1947 German crime film directed by Werner Klingler and starring Paul Bildt, Agathe Poschmann, and Claus Holm. It was made as a cautionary tale about the black market in postwar Berlin. It was made in the Soviet Zone, which would later become East Germany. It was produced by the state-controlled DEFA and shot at the Johannisthal Studios and on location around Berlin. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Otto Hunte and Bruno Monden. Friedrich Hebbel
Christian Friedrich Hebbel (18 March 1813 – 13 December 1863) was a German poet and dramatist. Biography Hebbel was born at Wesselburen in Dithmarschen, Holstein, the son of a bricklayer. He was educated at the ''Gelehrtenschule des Johanneums'', a grammar school in Hamburg, Germany. Despite his humble origins, he showed a talent for poetry, resulting in the publication in the ''Hamburg Modezeitung'', of verses which he had sent to Amalie Schoppe (1791–1858), a popular journalist and author of nursery tales. Through her patronage, he was able to go to the University of Hamburg. A year later he went to Heidelberg University to study law, but gave it up and went on to the University of Munich, where he devoted himself to philosophy, history and literature.
