Agarala Eswara Reddi
Agarala Eswara Reddi (also written as Agarala Eswara Reddy; 28 December 1933 – 16 February 2020) was an Indian writer and politician from Andhra Pradesh belonging to Indian National Congress. He served as the speaker and deputy speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Biography Reddi was born on 28 December 1933 at Thukivakam in Chittor. He was elected as a legislator of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Tirupati in 1967 and 1978. Reddi served as the deputy speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 27 March 1981 to 6 September 1982. Speaker Of The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly
The Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly is the presiding officer of the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh, the main law-making body for the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. In the Republic of India, the various central and state legislatures are presided by either a Speaker or a Chairman. The Speaker is elected in the very first meeting of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly after the General elections for a term of 5 years from amongst the members of the Saasana Sabha. The Speaker holds office until either they ceases to be a member of the Saasana Sabha or he himself resigns. The Speaker can be removed from office by a resolution passed in the Saasana Sabha by an effective majority of its members. In the absence of a Speaker, the meeting of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly is presided over by the Deputy Speaker. Kona Prabhakara Rao
Kona Prabhakara Rao (10 July 1916 – 20 October 1990) was an Indian politician. He was a member of the Indian National Congress party and was elected four times as Member of the Legislative Assembly From Bapatla (Assembly constituency). Early life and education Kona Prabhakar Rao was born in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, into a wealthy Telugu Niyogi Brahmin family in Bapatla. He did most of his schooling in Bapatla. At the age of 16, Rao conducted a boycott of schools when late Motilal Nehru died. He was a social and political worker and took active part in the Salt Satyagraha movement and Quit India Movement of 1942. In Bapatla he organised a youth league and promoted the use of khadi. A keen sportsman, Rao was tennis champion of the Bombay University in 1938. He organised the Shivaji Vyayam Mandali at Bapatla and some other places.
