''Aftershock'' is a 2022 American documentary film directed and produced by Paula Eiselt and Tonya Lewis Lee. It follows Omari Maynard and Bruce McIntyre, whose partners died due to childbirth complications, which were preventable, as they fight for justice. The film premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival on January 23, 2022. It was released on July 19, 2022, by ABC News Studios, Onyx Collective, and Hulu. It received critical acclaim. Plot Shamony Gibson and Amber Rose Isaac both died during childbirth from complications that were preventable. Their partners, Omari Maynard and Bruce McIntyre, come together with other fathers to fight for justice and build communities of support. Tonya Lewis Lee
Tonya Linnette Lewis Lee (née Lewis; March 30, 1966) is an American film and television producer, author, entrepreneur, and advocate for women and infant health. Since founding her production company, Madstone Company Inc., in 1998, she has been involved in media for children, through her work with Nickelodeon and her authorship of children's books. Life Lewis Lee was born in Yonkers, New York, to Lillian Charlotte (née Glenn) and George Ralph Lewis. Her father was a Philip Morris corporate executive. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a BA and the University of Virginia School of Law with a JD. After practicing law at Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle LLP in Washington, D.C. for nearly two years, she returned to New York and married Spike Lee in 1993. They have two children. Weighted Arithmetic Mean
The weighted arithmetic mean is similar to an ordinary arithmetic mean (the most common type of average), except that instead of each of the data points contributing equally to the final average, some data points contribute more than others. The notion of weighted mean plays a role in descriptive statistics and also occurs in a more general form in several other areas of mathematics. If all the weights are equal, then the weighted mean is the same as the arithmetic mean.
