Afsana (1970 Film)
Afsana is a 1970 Pakistani Urdu romantic drama film directed by ''Luqman''. The film starred Waheed Murad, Deeba, Rozina, Nanha, and others. One of the film's playback songs, "''Yun Kho Gaye Tere Piyar Mein Hum''" (vocalized by Mujeeb Alam) was a hit track of the time. Plot A modest son of a businessman, ''Nasir'', develops feelings for his classmate girl, ''Nahid'', who comes from a low-income household. Deeba ( ur, ), is a Pakistani film actress. She was one of the leading film actresses during the 1960s and 1970s, well known for her romantic and tragic roles in Urdu and Punjabi films. She has received a Nigar Award and Pride of Performance. She is known as the ''"Pakistani Mona Lisa"''. Naseem Begum ( Punjabi, ur, ; 9 November 1942 – 5 March 1990), known professionally as Mala ( ur, ), was a Pakistani playback singer of Urdu and Punjabi films. In the 1960s, Mala was a 'hit pair for singing duet film songs' with famous playback singer Ahmed Rushdi and they gave numerous hits to Pakistan film industry. Mujeeb Alam
Mujeeb Aalam (2 September 1948 – 2 June 2004) was a Pakistani playback singer who had a short film career. His singing style was a mixture of Mehdi Hassan and Ahmad Rushdi's style. He sang dozens of hit songs in late 1960s. However, he lost his popularity in mid-1970s as more versatile singers like Akhlaq Ahmed and A Nayyar entered Pakistan film industry. Nashad ( ur, ) (11 July 1923 – 14 January 1981) was a film composer and music director of Indian and Pakistani film industry. He composed music for Hindi films in the 1940s and 1950s, credited on-screen under the names Nashad and then later migrated to Pakistan in 1964.
