Clondalkin
Clondalkin ( ; ) is a suburban town situated 10 km south-west of Dublin city centre, Ireland, under the administrative jurisdiction of South Dublin. It features an 8th-century round tower that acts as a focal point for the area. Clondalkin forms part of the Dublin Mid-West Dáil constituency. Miss Universe Ireland is a national beauty pageant that has selected Ireland's representative to the Miss Universe pageant since 2002. History Beginning in 2002 Andrea Roche, who represented Ireland at Miss Universe 1998 in the United States, was the national director of Miss Universe in Ireland. Miss Universe 2012 was the 61st Miss Universe pageant, held at the PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on December 19, 2012. At the end of the event, Leila Lopes of Angola crowned Olivia Culpo of the United States as Miss Universe 2012. It is the United States' first victory in 15 years, and the eighth victory of the country— the most in the pageant's history.
