Adri Badenhorst
Adriaan Johannes Badenhorst (born 18 July 1978) is a South African former rugby union player. Playing career Badenhorst matriculated in Prieska and in 1997 enrolled at Stellenbosch University. He played for the university's under 19 and under 20 teams and in 1997 was selected for the senior team. He was a member of the Western Province team that won the Currie Cup in 2000. Badenhorst played more than 50 matches for Western Province and the and in 2006 he signed for . Badenhorst toured with the Springboks to Argentina, Britain and Ireland in 2000 and played in one tour match. In 2001 Badenhorst toured with the South Africa 'A' team to Europe. Prieska
Prieska is a town on the south bank of the Orange River, in the province of the Northern Cape, in western South Africa. It is located on the southern bank of the Orange River, 130 km north-west of Britstown and 75 km south-east of Marydale. History It developed from a place to which farmers migrated when the pans were full, after rains. It was originally named ''Prieschap'', the name is derived from Korana and means ‘place of the lost she-goat’. It was administered by a village management board from 1882 and attained municipal status in 1892. In 2011 the town had a population of 14,246. Many residents, historically, worked at the nearby Koegas mine which extracted and processed blue asbestos. The town is 240 km south of Kimberley and lies on the R357 road. Stormers Players
The Stormers (known for sponsorship reasons as the DHL Stormers) is a South African professional rugby union team based in Cape Town in the Western Cape that competes in the United Rugby Championship, a trans-hemispheric competition that also involves sides from Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. They competed in the Super Rugby competition until 2020. They are centred on the Western Province Currie Cup side, but also draw players from the Boland Cavaliers (covering the Cape Winelands and West Coast districts, with home matches in Wellington). The Province of the Cape of Good Hope ( af, Provinsie Kaap die Goeie Hoop), commonly referred to as the Cape Province ( af, Kaapprovinsie) and colloquially as The Cape ( af, Die Kaap), was a province in the Union of South Africa and subsequently the Republic of South Africa.
