Adnan Addoum
''Judge'' Adnan Mohammad Addoum (Arabic: عدنان عضوم, born Beirut, 1941) is a Lebanese Sunni public prosecutor and a pro-Syrian politician, who served as a Justice Minister in 2004. He was known to have played a key role in pushing the Syrian influence into the Lebanese parliament. Biography Born in Msaytbeh, Beirut on January 10, 1941, to a Syrian immigrant father, who was later naturalized, most of his relatives still live in northern Syria. His mother was born in Hosh Al-Abeed, North Lebanon. His parents owned a store in central district souk (market) which sold imported Syrian food products. He graduated in law from the Lebanese University in 1965, and then trained as a judge in the Judicial Learning Institution. Rafic Bahaa El Deen Al Hariri ( ar, رفيق بهاء الدين الحريري; 1 November 1944 – 14 February 2005) was a Lebanese business tycoon and politician who served as the Prime Minister of Lebanon from 1992 to 1998 and again from 2000 until his resignation on . Hariri headed five cabinets during his tenure. He was widely credited for his role in constructing the Taif Agreement that ended the 15-year Lebanese Civil War. He also played a huge role in reconstructing the Lebanese capital, Beirut. The Syrian occupation of Lebanon ( ar, الاحتلال السوري للبنان, french: Occupation syrienne du Liban) began in 1976, during the Lebanese Civil War, and ended on 30 April 2005 after the Cedar Revolution and several demonstrations in which most of the Lebanese people participated, and the withdrawal agreement was signed by President Bashar al-Assad and Saad Hariri, son of Rafic Hariri. Omar Abdul Hamid Karami (last name also spelled Karamé and Karameh) ( ar, عمر عبد الحميد كرامي; 7 September 1934 – 1 January 2015) was the 29th prime minister of Lebanon, who served two separate terms.
