Admiral Fallow
Admiral Fallow are a Scottish musical group formed in 2007 by singer-songwriter Louis Abbott and based in Glasgow. They were originally named Brother Louis Collective. The band's first album, '' Boots Met My Face'', was released worldwide in 2011. Their song "Squealing Pigs" was used on NBC's ''Chuck'' and was performed live on the BBC's ''Hogmanay Live 2011''. Albums ''Boots Met My Face'' '' Boots Met My Face'' was recorded in July 2009 and produced at the Glasgow studio Chem 19 by engineer Paul Savage (former Delgados drummer and winner of the 2010 UK Producers' Guild "Breakthrough Producer of the Year" award). The album recording was partially funded by Creative Scotland. Sarah Hayes (musician)
Sarah Hayes is a British folk musician and multi-instrumentalist. She is a member of the indie folk band Admiral Fallow and also a solo artist. Hayes was a finalist in BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award for three years in a row (2000–2002) and was nominated for the 2015 Composer of the Year in the Scots Trad Music Awards. Early life Hayes was born on The Wirral, but moved at the age of two and a half to the village of Warkworth in Northumberland. She learnt recorder, piano and the flute. Folk singer Sandra Kerr lived nearby and encouraged Hayes to listen to folk music. Kerr's encouragement was crucial, since there was no interest in the music from Hayes's peer group. O2 ABC Glasgow
The O2 ABC was a nightclub and music venue on Sauchiehall Street, in the centre of Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland. The building was constructed in 1875, renovated many times in its lifetime and also largely rebuilt in the 1920s. The building was used for numerous functions before being finally converted to its final purpose between 2002 and 2005, before finally closing in June 2018 after extensive fire damage. In 2009, the Academy Music Group took a majority stake in the venue, rebranding it the O2 ABC. The venue is protected as a listed building#Scotland, category C(S) listed building. In March 2009; the Academy Music Group became the major stockholder of the O2 ABC. Snow Patrol
Snow Patrol are a Northern Irish–Scottish Rock music, rock band formed in 1994 in Dundee, Scotland. They consist of Gary Lightbody (vocals, guitar), Nathan Connolly (guitar, backing vocals), Paul Wilson (musician), Paul Wilson (bass guitar, backing vocals), Jonny Quinn (drums), and Johnny McDaid (piano, guitar, backing vocals). Green Man
The Green Man is a legendary being primarily interpreted as a symbol of rebirth, representing the cycle of new growth that occurs every spring. The Green Man is most commonly depicted in a sculpture, or other representation of a face which is made of, or completely surrounded by, leaves. The Green Man motif has many variations. Branches or vines may sprout from the mouth, nostrils, or other parts of the face, and these shoots may bear flowers or fruit. The Cambridge Folk Festival is an annual music festival, established in 1965, held on the site of Cherry Hinton Hall in Cherry Hinton, one of the villages subsumed by the city of Cambridge, England. In geography, latitude is a coordinate that specifies the north– south position of a point on the surface of the Earth or another celestial body. Glastonbury
Glastonbury (, ) is a town and civil parish in Somerset, England, situated at a dry point on the low-lying Somerset Levels, south of Bristol. SxSW
South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. It began in 1987 and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year. The Low Anthem is a band from Providence, Rhode Island formed in 2006 by friends Ben Knox Miller and Jeff Prystowsky.
