Telangana Legislative Assembly
The Telangana Legislative Assembly or Telangana Śāsana Sabha is the lower house of the Telangana Legislature. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana currently consists of 119 elected members and 1 nominated member from the Anglo-Indian community. Its chief engineer was Nawab Sarwar Jung. The members of the ''Vidhana Sabha'' are directly elected by people through Universal suffrage, adult franchise. Jogu Ramanna
Jogu Ramanna (born 4 July 1963) is an Indian politician who was the Minister of Forest and Environment & Backward Classes Welfare of Telangana from 2 June 2014 to 6 September 2018. He is a Member of the Telangana Legislative Assembly from Adilabad constituency since 2 June 2014. He was earlier a member of Telugu Desam Party. He is an M.L.A. from Adilabad assembly constituency from past four times 2018, 2014, 2012 by elections and 2009 also. He contested from Adilabad seat on BRS ticket in the 2023 Telangana Assembly Elections and lost the seat to BJP's Payal Shanker by 6,692 votes. Bharat Rashtra Samithi ( ; BRS), formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi ( TRS), is an Indian political party which is predominantly active in the state of Telangana. It was founded on 27 April 2001 as by K. Chandrashekar Rao, with a single-point agenda of creating a separate Telangana state with Hyderabad as its capital. It has been instrumental in carrying forth a sustained agitation for the granting of statehood to Telangana. Adilabad district is a district located in the northern region of Telangana, India. It is known as the gateway district to South and Central India. The town of Adilabad is its headquarters. The district shares boundaries with Asifabad, Nirmal districts and with the state boundary of Maharashtra. As of 2022, the district is a part of the red corridor. Adilabad is a city which serves as the headquarters of Adilabad district, in the Indian state of Telangana. Telugu is the native language of Adilabad. Adilabad is famous for its rich cultivation of cotton. Hence, Adilabad is also referred as "White Gold City". 2018 Telangana Legislative Assembly Election
The Telangana Legislative Assembly election was held in Telangana on 7 December 2018 to constitute the second Legislative Assembly since the formation of the state in 2014. The incumbent Telangana Rashtra Samithi, the Indian National Congress, BJP, Telangana Jana Samithi, and Telugu Desam Party were the main contestants in the election. Four opposition parties in the state, INC, TJS, TDP and CPI announced the formation of a 'Maha Kootami' (Grand Alliance), to defeat the ruling TRS in the elections. 2014 Telangana Legislative Assembly Election
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, 2014 took place on 30 April and 7 May 2014 to elect members to the legislatures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
