Adelaide United FC (A-League Women)
Adelaide United Football Club is an Australian women's soccer team based in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 2008, it is the affiliated women's team of Adelaide United. The team competes in the country's premier women's soccer competition, the A-League Women. History Establishment Adelaide United's women's team was formed in 2008 with the inception of the W-League, becoming one of the founding eight teams. The inaugural set up saw North Eastern MetroStars coach Michael Barnett take charge with ex-Adelaide United player Richie Alagich take up the assistant coach role and Matildas stalwart Dianne Alagich named as captain. 2008–2011 Adelaide's first game was on 25 October 2008 against Queensland Roar at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre, which ended in a 4–1 loss with Sharon Black getting the consolation goal. The first win came in Round 2 against the Newcastle Jets at Hindmarsh Stadium, a hard-fought 3–2 win thanks to a hat-trick from Sandra Scalzi. ...

Marden Sports Complex
Marden Sports Complex is a multi-use stadium in Marden, South Australia. It is mainly used for soccer and is the home ground for National Premier League side Adelaide Blue Eagles. It was also used for the 2004 OFC Nations Cup and the 2006 AFC Women's Asian Cup. The stadium was built in 2000 and has a capacity of 6,000 people. It was co-host to the group stage of the 2004 OFC Nations Cup alongside Hindmarsh Stadium, with Marden hosting five games including one Socceroos match, a 6–1 win over Fiji featuring a Tim Cahill hattrick. Two years later the stadium hosted one match of the 2006 AFC Women's Asian Cup, a 5–0 win by the Matildas against Thailand. It has been used by other Adelaide-based teams for FFA Cup matches, including Adelaide City's famous 1–0 win over A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers. Jenna McCormick (born 7 September 1994) is a professional Australian sportswoman who plays soccer for Australian A-League Women club Brisbane Roar and has played Australian rules football for the Adelaide Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW) competition. Mark Sean Jones (born 5 June 1966) is a former Australian association football player. He last served as manager of the Newcastle Jets. Playing career Jones began his career with Newcastle Rosebud in 1985 before joining Sydney Croatia in 1987, where he enjoyed the most success including winning the NSL Cup in 1987 and made the NSL Grand Final in 1988.
