University Athletic Association Of The Philippines
The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), established in 1938, is an athletic association of eight Metro Manila universities in the Philippines. The eight-member schools are Adamson University (AdU), Ateneo de Manila University (ATENEO), De La Salle University (DLSU), Far Eastern University (FEU), National University (Philippines), National University (NU), University of the East (UE), University of the Philippines Diliman (UP), and the University of Santo Tomas (UST). UAAP Season 62
UAAP Season 62 is the 1999–2000 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines which was hosted by the University of the Philippines. The season opened on July 10, 1999, at the PhilSports Arena. It was the last broadcast by Silverstar Sports aired on PTV. Jimmy Javier, Joaqui Trillo and Jude Turcuato were on hand for the last broadcast of the UAAP games. UAAP Season 85 Volleyball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 85 volleyball tournaments are the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) volleyball tournaments for the 2022–23 school year. This is the first completed tournament since 2019. The collegiate men's and women's tournaments began on February 25, 2023. The high school boys' and girls' tournaments began earlier on February 13, 2023. This is the first tournament for men's, boys' and girls' since the COVID-19 pandemic. Tournament format The UAAP continued to use the Final Four with an updated format in stepladder prior to the start of Season 85, which was to scrapped the "undue advantage" bestowed to second seed team. The league reverted to its pre-pandemic Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday schedule and protocols such as handshakes and court-side switches between the two teams. UAAP Season 85
UAAP Season 85 was the 2022–23 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). Season 85 theme is "Rise as One", and the season host was the Adamson University. With just seven events in Season 84, the collegiate league will be bringing back the full athletic calendar of events for Season 85. The year 2022 will thus hold two UAAP seasons. UAAP Season 84 was held starting March 26, 2022, and Season 85 started on October 1, 2022. Opening ceremony was a pre-recorded one that commenced at 1:00 pm (PHT) on UAAP Varsity Channel. UAAP Season 75
UAAP Season 75 was the 2012–2013 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. The season's theme was "Unbreakable at 75" in relation to the league's diamond year. It was hosted by National University. The men's basketball and the women's volleyball tournaments have been aired by ABS-CBN Channel 2 and Studio 23, the former for the thirteenth consecutive year and the latter since Season 69. This season, the men's football and women's softball both became a seven-school tournament. National University made a comeback in these two events. NU was participating in these two events in the 1940s up to the 1950s. NU also fielded for the first time men's and women's teams in Taekwondo to also make these events a seven-school tournament. The seniors' division of the UAAP Season 73 volleyball tournaments opened November 27, 2010. Tournaments are hosted by De La Salle University. Tournament games are held at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan City. The juniors' division tournaments were held on the first semester of the 2010–11 school year; the UE Pages and the De La Salle Junior Lady Archers won all of their elimination round games in their respective divisions to clinch the championship outright. UAAP Season 73 is the 2010–2011 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. It was hosted by De La Salle University. The men's basketball and the women's volleyball tournaments were aired by ABS-CBN Channel 2 and Studio 23 (the men's basketball events was simulcast over DZRJ-AM) for the eleventh consecutive year following the renewal of the contract for the broadcast of the games.
