Adam Young (American Musician)
Adam Randal Young (born July 5, 1986) is an American singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known as the founder and sole member of electronica project Owl City. Outside of Owl City, Young has recorded music under different musical projects, most notably Port Blue and Sky Sailing. In addition to these works, Young was part of the electronica band Swimming With Dolphins and post-rock band Windsor Airlift. Young has also collaborated with numerous musical artists such as Paul van Dyk, Chicane, Armin van Buuren, Schiller and Switchfoot. Young has composed music for brands such as Apple Inc. and Disney. Early life Young was born in Ottumwa, Iowa, United States on July 5, 1986. He was raised in Owatonna, Minnesota. He is the son of Joan Young and Randy Young. Sockweb
Sockweb was an American grindcore band from Richmond, Indiana, formed in early 2013. The band was best known for its unusual father-daughter lineup, having been formed by Verata Necti's Adam "Blackula" Young and his then six-year-old daughter, Joanie "Bologna" Young, and for going viral with their song "I Want Pancakes". History After the release of Sockweb's first song, "I Want Pancakes", the group became a viral hit in metal circles, with websites such as MetalSucks and eventually reputed UK magazine Rock Sound. After the release of two more songs, "Broken Glass Swan Dive" and "Werewolf" (featuring Spiralmountain's Erik Ebsen), the duo announced that they had signed to Monolithic Records to release their debut album, ''Werewolf'', later in 2013, accompanied by another new song, "Bullies Are Mean". Adam Young (politician)
Adam Ryan Young is a Democratic party politician who was a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates during 2012–2014, representing the 41st district. Young has been a social studies teacher at Nicholas County High School since 2005. During his time in office, Young cosponsored House Joint Resolution 108, the "Nonprofit Youth Organization Tax Exempt Support Amendment", which proposed an amendment to the Constitution of West Virginia. The amendment was referred to the public and approved by voters on November 4, 2014, becoming the first amendment to West Virginia's constitution in approximately ten years. Young Broadcasting, LLC was an American media company that owned or operated 12 television stations in 10 markets with a total U.S. television household coverage of 5.9%. The company was formerly known as Young Broadcasting Inc. and was the outgrowth of the ad representation firm ''Adam Young Inc.'', which was founded in 1944 by Adam Young.
