Adam Young (American Musician)
Adam Randal Young (born July 5, 1986) is an American singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known as the founder and sole member of electronica project Owl City. Outside of Owl City, Young has recorded music under different musical projects, most notably Port Blue and Sky Sailing. In addition to these works, Young was part of the electronica band Swimming With Dolphins and post-rock band Windsor Airlift. Young has also collaborated with numerous musical artists such as Paul van Dyk, Chicane, Armin van Buuren, Schiller and Switchfoot. Young has composed music for brands such as Apple Inc. and Disney. Early life Young was born in Ottumwa, Iowa, United States on July 5, 1986. He was raised in Owatonna, Minnesota. He is the son of Joan Young and Randy Young. Ottumwa ( ) is a city in and the county seat of Wapello County, Iowa, United States. The population was 25,529 at the time of the 2020 U.S. Census. Located in the state's southeastern section, the city is split into northern and southern halves by the Des Moines River. Ottumwa serves as a major economic, commercial, and cultural hub for the Southeastern Iowa region. Armin Jozef Jacobus Daniël van Buuren ( , ; born 25 December 1976) is a Dutch DJ and record producer from Leiden, South Holland. Since 2001, he has hosted ''A State of Trance'' (ASOT), a weekly radio show, which is broadcast to nearly 40 million listeners in 84 countries on over 100 FM radio stations. ''Maybe I'm Dreaming'' is the debut studio album by American electronica project Owl City, released on March 17, 2008. Despite having been self-released and not recorded by any major producer, it managed to reach the top 20 of the '' Billboard'' Electronic Music Album Chart. The seventh track, "The Technicolor Phase", is featured on '' Alice in Wonderlands compilation album, ''Almost Alice''. Owatonna High School (OHS) is a public school in Owatonna, Minnesota, United States, located in the heart of the town. The school was established in 1877. Construction of the current building started in 1920 and the school was completed in 1921. It is the third high school built in Owatonna. It has just over 1,500 students students and 145 faculty members.
