Wicket-keeper
The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises. The wicket-keeper is the only member of the fielding side permitted to wear gloves and external leg guards. The role of the keeper is governed by Law 27 of the Laws of Cricket. Lewis David McManus (born 9 October 1994) is an English first-class cricketer. He is a right-handed wicket-keeper batsmen. McManus is a promising wicketkeeper-batsman from Bournemouth who has come through Hampshire's academy. He was part of the county's Under-17 side that won the 50-over cup in 2011 and performed strongly for Hampshire Academy in the Southern Premier League. An average of 36 in second XI cricket earned him a call-up for the England Under-19s in February 2014 where he was named in the World Cup squad. The ECB40, last known as the Yorkshire Bank 40 (YB40) for sponsorship reasons, was a forty-over limited overs cricket competition for the English first-class counties. It began in the 2010 English cricket season as a replacement for the Pro40 and Friends Provident Trophy competitions. James Savin Foster (born 15 April 1980) is an English cricket coach and former cricketer. A wicket-keeper who played seven Tests and 11 One Day Internationals in 2001–02 and 2002–03.
