Adam Lowry
Adam Lowry (born March 29, 1993) is an American-born Canadian professional ice hockey centre and captain of the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL). Early life Adam Lowry was born on March 29, 1993, in St. Louis, Missouri, where his father, Dave, was a member of the St. Louis Blues. In 2008, Lowry was drafted in the fourth round, 78th overall by the Swift Current Broncos at the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft. Despite being drafted, Lowry played one more season of minor hockey with the Calgary Rangers of the Alberta Midget Hockey League. Playing career Amateur On August 27, 2009, Lowry signed a WHL contract with the Swift Current Broncos. In his rookie season with the Broncos, Lowry scored 15 goals and 34 points in 61 games played as a 16-year-old. Lowry won the Daryl K. (Doc) Seaman Trophy as scholastic player of the year. The 2012–13 AHL season was the 77th season of the American Hockey League. The regular season began on October 12, 2012 and ended on April 21, 2013. The 2013 Calder Cup playoffs followed the conclusion of the regular season. The Calder Cup was won by the Grand Rapids Griffins for their first Calder Cup in franchise history. The NHL Central Scouting Services (CSS) is a department within the National Hockey League (NHL) that ranks prospects for the NHL entry draft at specific times during the hockey season. Players are ranked based on how well they will translate to the professional game in the NHL. The Kamloops Blazers are a Canadian major junior ice hockey team based in Kamloops, British Columbia. The team plays in the B.C.
