Adam Hose
Adam John Hose (born 25 October 1992) is an English cricketer who plays for Worcestershire County Cricket Club. He is a right-handed batsman, who also bowls right-arm medium-fast pace. Domestic career Hose joined Somerset on a 14-month contract in July 2015, and made his debut in the 2015 NatWest t20 Blast against Hampshire. On 3 July 2016 he made his first-class debut for Somerset during Pakistan's tour of England. On 26 July 2017, Hose rejected the offer of a new three-year contract from Somerset to join Warwickshire with immediate effect. On 30 July 2017, Hose scored a match-winning 76 off 43 balls on debut for Warwickshire against Lancashire in the 2017 NatWest t20 Blast. In December 2018, he was signed by the Wellington Firebirds to play in the 2018–19 Super Smash in New Zealand. Newport, Isle Of Wight
Newport is the county town of the Isle of Wight, an island county off the south coast of England. Bowling, in cricket, is the action of propelling the ball toward the wicket defended by a batter. A player skilled at bowling is called a ''bowler''; a bowler who is also a competent batter is known as an all-rounder. Century (cricket)
In cricket, a century is a score of 100 or more runs in a single innings by a batsman. The term is also included in "century partnership" which occurs when two batsmen add 100 runs to the team total when they are batting together. A century is regarded as a landmark score for batsmen and a player's number of centuries is generally recorded in their career statistics. Scoring a century is loosely equivalent in merit to a bowler taking a five-wicket haul, and is commonly referred to as a ton or hundred. Scores of more than 200 runs are still statistically counted as a century, although these scores are referred to as double (200–299 runs), triple (300–399 runs), and quadruple centuries (400–499 runs), and so on. The 2022–23 Big Bash League season or BBL, 12 is the ongoing twelfth season of the Big Bash League (BBL), the professional men's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The Hundred (cricket)
The Hundred is a professional franchise 100-ball cricket tournament involving eight men's and eight women's teams located in major cities across England and Wales. The tournament is run by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and took place for the first time in July and August 2021. The format was invented with the expectation that each match lasts around two-and-a-half hours. The BBC showed free-to-air broadcasts of the competition, while all of the women's matches and some of the men's matches were available to stream for free on Sky Sports' YouTube channel. 2022 Season Of The Hundred
The 2022 season of The Hundred will be the second season of The Hundred, a professional franchise 100-ball cricket tournament involving eight men's and women's teams located in major cities across England and Wales. The competition will return after its first season, which was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and faced strong opposition from traditional cricket fans. Despite this more than 500,000 tickets were sold for the first year of the competition and the contest was seen as a major boost for the women's game. Lancashire County Cricket Club represents the historic county of Lancashire in English cricket. The club has held first-class status since it was founded in 1864. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but it was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs.
