Acadiana High School is located in Scott, Louisiana, United States. Acadiana High School opened in 1969 following the consolidation of Judice High School, located in Judice Community, and Scott High School, located in Scott. Donald Aguillard, a former assistant principal at Acadiana High, was among those parties who challenged the Louisiana Balanced Treatment Act regarding evolution and creation science, a measure authored by then State Senator Bill P. Keith of Shreveport, and signed into law by Governor David C. Treen. The law was invalidated by the United States Supreme Court in 1987 in the case named for Aguillard, ''Edwards v. Aguillard''. Alley Broussard
Alley Joseph Broussard III (born September 6, 1983) is a former college football running back for the LSU Tigers football team of Louisiana State University, and the Missouri Southern Lions football team of Missouri Southern State University. He was a part of LSU's 2003 team that won the BCS National Championship. Against Ole Miss in 2004, Broussard rushed for 250 yards, setting the LSU single-game rushing record. The record stood until 2016, when it was surpassed by a 284-yard performance from Leonard Fournette, also against Ole Miss. Early life Broussard was born in Lafayette, Louisiana to Alley Jr. and Liz Broussard. He played football at Acadiana High School in Scott, Louisiana. Sheri Sam
Sheri Lynette Sam (born May 5, 1974) is an American professional women's basketball coach and player who played in the WNBA. She was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana as the youngest of eight siblings, and where she was a standout at Acadiana High School. She graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1996. She was an assistant coach at Eastern Illinois University. Stryker Louis Trahan (pronounced ; born April 25, 1994) is an American professional baseball outfielder who is a free agent. Kim Perrot
Kim Perrot (January 18, 1967 – August 19, 1999) was an American basketball player. She played in the WNBA for the Houston Comets. Biography Perrot attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette) and played four years there as a guard. In one game against the University of Southeastern Louisiana, she scored 58 points, the third most in NCAA history. After playing six seasons in Europe, Perrot became the regular point guard for the Houston Comets, helping them to win WNBA championships in 1997 and 1998. Cody Mandell (born April 7, 1992) is an American football punter for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Mandell played his college football at Alabama.
