Abudefduf Nigrimargo
''Abudefduf nigrimargo'', known as the black margined-scale sergeant, is a species of damselfish in the family Pomacentridae. It is native to the northwestern Pacific Ocean, where it is known only from Taiwan. The species is known to occur above shallow rocky reefs, where it forms feeding aggregations. The habitat in which ''Abudefduf nigrimargo'' can be found is also known to be inhabited by the related species '' Abudefduf vaigiensis'' and ''Abudefduf caudobimaculatus'' (previously recognized as synonymous with ''A. vaigiensis''). The species reaches 12 cm (4.7 inches) in standard length. The name is from Arabic ''abu'', "the one with"; and ''def'', "side", and the intensive plural ending ''-duf''. The name thus means "the one with prominent sides". Kenting National Park (), commonly known as Kenting (), is a national park located on the Hengchun Peninsula of Pingtung County, Taiwan, covering Hengchun, Checheng, and Manzhou Townships. Damselfish
Damselfish are those within the subfamilies Abudefdufinae, Chrominae, Lepidozyginae, Pomacentrinae, and Stegastenae within the family Pomacentridae. Most species within this group are relatively small, with the largest species being about 30cm (12 in) in length. Most damselfish species exist only in marine environments, but a few inhabit brackish or fresh water. These fish are found globally in tropical, subtropical, and temperate waters. Habitat in tropical rocky or coral reefs, and many of those are kept as marine aquarium pets. Their diets include small crustaceans, plankton, and algae. Indo-Pacific Sergeant
The Indo-Pacific sergeant (''Abudefduf vaigiensis'') is a species of damselfish in the family Pomacentridae. It may also be known as the Sergeant major although this name is usually reserved for the closely related species ''Abudefduf saxatilis''. The closely related ''Abudefduf caudobimaculatus'' was formerly considered to be synonymous with this species and, according to some authorities, is synonymous. Distribution The Indo-Pacific sergeant is found in the Indo-Pacific including the Red Sea.
