Abu Hamour
Abu Hamour ( ar, بوهامور, Abū Hāmūr) is a district in the municipality of Al Rayyan in Qatar. Known to some as the "Wholesale Market District", it is a part of Metropolitan Doha. Etymology In Arabic language, Arabic, "abu" translates to "father" and in this context is used as a prefix for a specific characteristic of the area. The second part of the name, "hamour", is a specific type of fish that occurs commonly in Qatari waters. According to local tradition, the district was named after the type of fish most commonly caught by resident fishermen. Administration When free elections of the Central Municipal Council first took place in Qatar during 1999, Abu Hamour was designated the constituency seat of constituency no. 12. Qatar

Fereej Abdel Aziz ( ar, فريج عبد العزيز, Farīq ‘Abd al ‘Azīz) is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Ad Dawhah. Etymology ''Fereej'', the first constituent of the district's name, translates to "neighborhood" in English. The second part of the name, ''Abdel Aziz'', was given after its namesake who was a sheikh that resided in and governed the area. Doha Metro

Abu Samra
Abu Samra ( ar, أبو سمرة, Abū Samrah) is a settlement in Qatar, located in the municipality of Al Rayyan (90 km away from Doha). It used to be part of the Jariyan al Batnah municipality before the municipality was incorporated into Al Rayyan. Notable features of the area are a border post separating the southern part of the municipality from Saudi Arabia, and a well. It was previously Qatar's only land border crossing to Saudi Arabia, until its closure in June 2017 over the Qatar diplomatic crisis. The border was opened again when the blockade ended in 2021. Al Sailiya ( ar, السيلية, As Saylīyah) is a district of Al Rayyan City in Qatar, located in the municipality of Al Rayyan. Etymology The word "sailiya" is derived from the Arabic term "sayl", which translates as "to flow". It gained this name from the fact that part of the district is situated in a rawda which acts as a floodplain. History J.G. Umm Salal Ali ( ar, أم صلال علي, Umm Şalāl ‘Alī) is the seat of the municipality of Umm Salal in Qatar. Etymology In Arabic, "Umm Salal" roughly translates to "mother of rocks". The name "Ali" added onto the end refers to Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, a son of Qatar's former ruler, Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, who previously owned a number of farms in the area. Souq Waqif (Arabic: سوق واقف ''Sūq Wāqif'', "the standing market") is a marketplace ( souq) in Doha, in the state of Qatar. The souq sells traditional garments, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs. It is also home to restaurants and shisha lounges. The original building dates back to the late 19th to early 20th centuries in a traditional Qatari architectural style. It was renovated in 2006. Al Jasrah ( ar, الجسرة) is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Ad Dawhah. It hosts Souq Waqif, one of the largest souqs in Qatar.
