Abro
Abro, or Abra, is a clan descended from Jams of Samma dynasty migrated from Abdasa area of Kutch in 1314 AD and are settled in southern Sindh to the northern Sindh, and Balochistan. According to H. A. Rose, the Abra are an ancient tribe of Jats who the proverb credits with the introduction of agriculture in Sindh and Saraikistan: The tribe is also said to be an offshoot of the Sammas and is numerous in Bahawalpur. Suhaee Abro
Suhaee Abro ( sd, سھائي ابڙو, ur, ) is a Pakistani dancer and actress. She specialises in the field of dance and is a trained classical dancer. Suhaee works in television plays, theatre, documentaries and music videos. She won best New Television Sensation Award (Female) at 1st Hum Awards 2013. She is the daughter of Sindhi poet and activist Attiya Dawood. Early life Suhaee Abro was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan. Her mother (Attiya Dawood) is a well-known poet. Jamal Abro
Jamaluddin Abro, ( sd, جمال الدين ابڙو - ur, جمال الدین ابڑو ) also known as Jamal Abro (2 May 1924 – 30 June 2004, Larkana, Pakistan) was a Sindhi writer. He was born in Sangi, a small village in Mehar Taluka, then part of Dadu District. Life Abro studied in a number of schools in Larkana and Hyderabad. He passed his matriculation from Bombay University in 1941 and later, became a student at the Bahauddin College in Junagadh, Gujarat. In 1944 he went to Bengal and worked as a volunteer at relief camps for famine affected areas. He also worked as an activist with the Khaksar Movement. He took a degree in law in 1948 from Shahani Law College in Larkana and started working as a lawyer. Abro entered public service in 1952 and was posted as sub-judge in a number of places in Sindh. Tariq Alam Abro
Tariq Alam Abro ( sd, طارق عالم ابڙو) was a Sindhi novelist, short story author and playwright. He was born on 10 April 1958, in Qambar, Sindh. According to Rasool Bux Dars, he was one of the three greatest living Sindhi poets at the time of his death. He died on 11 June 2011, due to kidney and liver failures.
