Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). The 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League was an edition of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, a List A cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. It was the sixth edition of the tournament with List A status, although almost 35 seasons have been played before achieving the status. It started on 8 March, and concluded on 23 April 2019. Directly before the List A tournament started, the inaugural edition of the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League took place, featuring the same twelve teams. Abahani Limited were the defending champions. They won the tournament, finishing ahead of Legends of Rupganj on net run rate.
