Abhimanyu (1997 Film)
''Abhimanyu'' is a 1997 Indian Tamil-language crime film directed by K Subash. The film stars R Parthiepan, Ravali, Raghuvaran and Geetha. The film, produced by C Chiranjeevi, had musical score by Deva and was released on 5 September 1997. Plot Maasilamani (Raghuvaran), a dreaded don, spreads terror around him: triggering riots, smuggling illicit liquor and drugs. The police are exasperated by Maasilamani and send Abhimanyu ( R Parthiepan) to cope with Maasilamani. Abhimanyu is an incorruptible and strict Assistant Commissioner of Police who has been suspended seven times for challenging his superiors. Abhimanyu first reforms the corrupt constables and befriends the police officer Deraviyam (Chandrasekhar). In the meantime, Manju (Ravali) fall in love with Abhimanyu. Ravali
Ravali is an Indian actress who has appeared in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi Language films. Ravikanth (actor)
Ravikanth is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films. Career Ravi began his professional career as a sound engineer and when the company closed down, he joined a drama troupe. At the troupe, he became acquainted with Charuhasan who introduced him to Ananthu, an associate of director K. Balachander. Soon after, Ravi was given the stage name of Ravikanth and made his acting debut in Balachander's ''Manathil Uruthi Vendum'' (1987). During the period, he also shot for a supporting role in '' Apoorva Sagodharargal'' (1989) but his portions were cut owing to the film's length. Ravikanth later moved on to work on television serials, regularly collaborating on K. Balachander's productions including ''Sahana'' and ''Solathan Ninaikiraen''. Vairamuthu
Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet. He entered the Tamil film industry in the year 1980, with the film ''Nizhalgal'', an Ilaiyaraaja musical, directed by Bharathiraja. During the course of his 40-year film career, he has written over 7,500 songs and poems which have won him seven National Awards, the most for any Indian lyricist. Mahanadi Shankar is an Indian stage, film and television actor, who has appeared in Tamil language films and serials as supporting actor and negative roles. Periya Karuppu Thevar
Periya Karuppa Thevar (1936 - 18 September 2012) was a Tamil film character artiste and folk singer who appeared in Tamil-language films. Film career PKT was part of the drama troupe floated by veteran Sankaradoss Swamigal more than fifty years ago. Like many actors of his era, he had made the grade to films as an actor after toiling hard on stage where he used to be quite popular for his acting as well as in singing many folk songs. His film career has spanned many decades in which he had starred in more than 200 films including a memorable role in Bharathiraaja's Mann Vasanai and in Gangai Amaren's Karagattakkaran which had memorable songs by Ilaiyaraaja.
