Ashoka Abeysinghe is a Sri Lankan politician, a member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka. He belongs to the United National Party. Amathagodage Don Hiroshi Abeysinghe (born 2 November 1978) is a former Sri Lankan international cricketer and internationally qualified cricket coach. International playing career As a player, Abeysinghe represented the Sri Lankan national team between 1999 and 2006. An all-rounder, Abeysinghe batted right-handed and bowled right-arm off-spin. She was a member of the Sri Lanka Women's cricket team for the visiting Pakistan team, and for the tour of India in 1999. Kamal Abeysinghe is a Sri Lankan banker and a social entrepreneur. He is the founder and current chairman of EDEX. Abeysinghe has served as the chairman of EDEX since its inception in 2004. Kyle Abeysinghe (born 4 February 2000) is a Sri Lankan national swimmer who has represented his country at several international competitions. At the domestic level, Abeysinghe holds numerous national records, has been national champion several times, and is a member of the Killer Whale Aquatic Club, under his coach and father, Manoj Abeysinghe. At the 2017 Youth Commonwealth Games in Nassau, Bahamas, Abeysinghe won two silver medals in the 50m and the 100m Freetyle, becoming the only Sri Lankan in swimming to achieve this feat. Matthew Duncan Abeysinghe, OLY (born 19 March 1996) is a competitive swimmer who has represented Sri Lanka at numerous international competitions, including the 2016 and 2020 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo respectively. Abeysinghe trained under his coach and father, Manoj Abeysinghe, with Killer Whale Aquatics, until his departure for higher education, where he resumed his training at Ohio State University in the US. Ronnie Abeysinghe
Ronald Abeysinghe (also called "Ronnie") (26 July 1936 – 11 February 2002) was the former Serjeant-at-Arms of the Sri Lankan Parliament from 1970 to 1996. Early life Abeysinghe was born on 26 July 1936 in Teldeniya, close to Kandy. His father Robert Abeysinghe was a government doctor while his mother, Meraya Goonatillake, hailed from Panadura. He had his education initially at St. John's College, Panadura and then at Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa. He was the eldest of nine siblings. Cavaliere ( OMRI) Tilake Abeysinghe ( Sinhala: කැවාලියර් තිලක අබේසිංහ; Tamil: காவலியர் திலகே அபேசிங்க; 28 March 1929 – 24 September 2022), better known as Tilake, was an internationally reputed Sri Lankan painter and sculptor.
