Kamal Abeysinghe
Kamal Abeysinghe is a Sri Lankan banker and a social entrepreneur. He is the founder and current chairman of EDEX. Abeysinghe has served as the chairman of EDEX since its inception in 2004. EDEX was initiated as a social project to organize education exhibitions to provide career guidance for students who completed their A/L examinations. Since 2004 it has held exhibitions annually in Colombo and Kandy becoming the largest education fair in Sri Lanka. During Abeysinghe's tenure as the chairman of EDEX, he has initiated several social development projects such as the ''Live your Dream'' project in 2012 which aims at empowering Sri Lankan youth and has carried out several school development projects in many parts of the country. Regulatory Compliance
In general, compliance means conforming to a rule, such as a specification, policy, standard or law. Compliance has traditionally been explained by reference to the deterrence theory, according to which punishing a behavior will decrease the violations both by the wrongdoer (specific deterrence) and by others (general deterrence). Royal College Union
The Royal College Union (RCU) is the alumni association of the Royal College Colombo. Founded in 1891 as a society for alumni of the college, it is the oldest such alumni society in Sri Lanka. The Royal College Union was set up to further the interests of the College and its past and present members, and to keep former pupils in touch with each other and with the school. Annually the RCU organizes many sporting events including the Royal-Thomian, the Bradby Shield Encounter, the Royal Thomian Regatta as well as national initiatives such as EDEX and carry out development projects for the college, as well as manage and maintain much of the school's infurstutcure such as the Hostel, Royal College Sports Complex, the J.R. Royal College, Colombo is a selective entry boys' school located in Cinnamon Gardens, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
