Abejas De León
The Abejas de León (English: ''León Bees'') is a Mexican professional basketball team. It has been a member of the LNBP since the 2009–10 season. History Foundation The team was previously known as the Piedras Negras Bravos but the Universidad de Guanajuato bought the team and relocated it to its home town in the city of Guanajuato with the help of the City Hall and several businessmen. First seasons During their first season they struggled but managed to make it to the postseason in the second-worst seed. They lost against the Halcones UV Xalapa team who were the eventual champions. In their second season they entered the postseason for the second year in a row, again losing in the first round, this time being swept by the Pioneros de Quintana Roo. The National Professional Basketball League ( or LNBP), officially known as the Liga Grupo Caliente, Caliente LNBP for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball sports league, league in Mexico. Domo De La Feria
Domo de la Feria (originally Auditorio Municipal de Leon) is a 4,463-seat indoor arena located in Leon, Guanajuato. Built in the mid-1980s, it is used primarily for basketball, and is home to the Abejas de León basketball team. It is part of the municipal fairgrounds, and is one of the primary venues of the annual Feria Leon. It can seat up to 7,000 for concerts. It is also used for circuses, lucha libre, motorsports, boxing, graduations, ice shows and other events. A 4,500-seat Palenque, dedicated in 2010, is adjacent to the arena. Halcones de Xalapa (in English: Xalapa Falcons) is a basketball club based in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico that plays in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). Their home games are played at Gimnasio Universitario de la Unidad Deportiva. Halcones have won four LNBP championships, in 2005, 2008, 2009 and 2010. The Pioneros de Quintana Roo (''Quintana Roo Pioneers'' in English) were a Mexican professional basketball team based in Cancún, México, playing in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). During the 2010–2011 season the team made it to the finals. They became runners-up after losing to the Toros de Nuevo Laredo. The Pioneros requested a temporary leave from the league in August 2016. The Barreteros de Zacatecas was a Mexican professional basketball team based in Zacatecas, Zacatecas, Mexico playing in the Southern Division of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). History Barreteros was founded in the semi-pro league Liga Nacional de Clubes achieving two championships in 2001 and 2003, in 2004 they started playing in LNBP taking the place of Chihuahua Dorados. The first season of Barreteros in pro basketball was also their best, as they eliminated Algodoneros de la Comarca in the first round of playoffs. However, Fuerza Regia swept Zacatecas in four games in the semifinals.
