Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (Arabic: عبدالله بن بندر بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود) is the Minister of National Guard (Saudi Arabia). He was appointed to the post on 27 December 2018. Early life and education Abdullah bin Bandar was born on 7 August 1986. He is the son of Prince Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from King Saud University in Riyadh. Career He served as the deputy head of department of the King Salman Youth Center. He was deputy governor of Makkah region between April 2017 and December 2018. On 27 December 2018 he was named as the minister of National Guard. The Saudi Council of Ministers ( ar, مجلس الوزراء السعودي ''Majlis al-Wuzarā' as-Su‘ūdī'') is the cabinet of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is led by the King. The council consists of the king, the Crown Prince, and cabinet ministers. The Crown Prince is also Prime Minister and Chair of the Council of Ministers. Since 2015, there are 23 ministers with portfolio and seven ministers of state, two of whom have special responsibilities. All members of the council are appointed by royal decree. The Council of Ministers was established by King Abdulaziz in 1953. It is responsible for "drafting and overseeing the implementation of the internal, external, financial, economic, educational and defense policies, and general affairs of the state." King Saud University (KSU, ar, جامعة الملك سعود) is a public university in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Established in 1957 by King Saud bin Abdulaziz to address the country's skilled worker shortage, it is the first university in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The university was known as Riyadh University before a name change in 1982. The student body of KSU today consists of 40,000 male and female students, 7% of which are international. The female students have their own disciplinary panel, and there is a center supervising the progress of female students, either personally by female faculty members or by male faculty members via a closed television network. The Saudi Arabian National Guard or SANG ( ar, الحَرَس الوَطنيّ, al-Ḥaras al-Waṭanī), also known as the "White Army", is one of the three major branches of the military forces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The national guard is under the administrative control of the Ministry of the National Guard, instead of the Ministry of Defence. It differs from the regular Saudi army in being forged out of tribal elements loyal to the House of Saud and tasked with protecting the royal family from internal dangers such as a coup d'état. Bandar Bin Abdulaziz
Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ( ar, بندر بن عبد العزيز آل سعود ''Bandar bin ʿAbdulʿazīz Āl Saʿūd''; 1921 or 1923–28 July 2019) was the tenth son of King Abdulaziz. At the time of his death, he was the eldest surviving member of the ruling branch of the House of Saud. Early life Bandar was reportedly born in Riyadh in 1923, though Talal Kapoor reports his birth year as 1921. His mother was Bazza who died in 1940. He was the tenth son of King Abdulaziz, and his full brother was Prince Fawwaz.
