Abdi Garad or Qayaad ( so, Cabdi Garaad) Full Name:'' โAbdi Shirshore Habarwa Abdullah Muse Said Saleh Abdi Mohamed Abdirahman bin Isma'il al-Jabarti'' is a sub-clan that is part of the Dulbahante clan-family. The nickname "Qayaad" was supposedly the name of a Galla chief who formerly controlled the clan's territory and whom the clan's forefather killed in battle. Las Anod
Las Anod ( so, Laascaanood; ar, ูุงุณุนุงููุฏ) is the administrative capital of the Sool region of Somaliland. Territorial dispute The city is disputed by Puntland and Somaliland. The former bases its claim due to the kinship ties between the Dhulbahante clan and the dominant clan in Puntland, the Majeerteen, whilst the latter's claim is grounded on the border of the former British Somaliland Protectorate. The city was the proclaimed capital of Khatumo State throughout its existence until its dissolvement in 2017. Somaliland forces captured the city in the Battle of Las Anod in 2007, ousting Puntland forces, and has maintained full control of the city in all aspects since. Until now Somaliland governs Las Anod with little legitimacy or popularity, while regular unknown assassinations have deteriorated the security situation. Dhummay
Dhummay is a town in the Sool region of Somaliland/Somalia. It is 35 miles south of Las Anod, the regional capital of Sool. Although there have been clan conflicts for a long time, they have distanced themselves from both Somaliland and Puntland, and in 2018 they held a peace agreement with the help of Ethiopia after rejecting interference from Somaliland/Puntland governments. Since then, relations with Somaliland have continued, including visits by key officials of the Somaliland government. Dharkayn Geenyo (Dharkayngeenyo, Darkeyn Genyo) is a town in the southern Sool region of Somalia. Overview It is located on the Somaliland-Ethiopia border. Dharkayn Geenyo is a historical town, it was an important border post during the Siad Barre government period with one of the biggest Somali military bases,. Sool ( so, Sool, ar, ุตูู) is an administrative region ('' gobol'') in south eastern Somaliland/north western Somalia. It borders Togdheer to the west, Sanaag to the north, Ethiopia to the south and Nugal, Bari to the east. Its capital city is Las Anod.
