Abderrahim Najah
Abderrahim Najah (born 20 November 1984) is a Moroccan basketball player currently playing for AS Salé of the Division Excellence. Professional career Najah started his career in 2004 with Raja Oval where he played five years. In 2009, he transferred to AS Salé. In 2017, Najah won the FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup with Salé. He was on Salé's roster for the 2021 BAL season, the first season of the Basketball Africa League. National team career Najah is a member of the Morocco national basketball team. He participated in both the 2007 and 2009 FIBA Africa Championship. The power forward (PF), also known as the four or strong forward, is a position in basketball. Power forwards play a role similar to centers. When on offense, they typically play with their backs towards the basket. 2021 BAL Season
The 2021 BAL season, also known as BAL Season 1, was the inaugural season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Established as a joint effort between the National Basketball Association (NBA) and FIBA, the BAL is the highest tier continental league of Africa, replacing the FIBA Africa Basketball League. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Africa, COVID-19 pandemic, the BAL held its inaugural season one year later as planned, with the season beginning in 2021. AfroBasket 2009 was the 25th FIBA Africa Championship, played under the auspices of the Fédération Internationale de Basketball, the basketball sport governing body, and the African zone thereof. Association Sportive Salé ( ar, جمعية سلا), commonly known as AS Salé, is a Moroccan basketball club from Salé. The club competes in the Division Excellence and the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The 2017 FIBA Africa Champions Cup was the 32nd edition of the FIBA Africa Basketball Club Championship, the international basketball club tournament of FIBA Africa.
