Abdelrahman Elgamal
Adem Asil (né: Abdelrahman Elgamal ( ar, عبد الرحمن الجمل); born 21 February 1999) is an Egyptian-born Turkish male artistic gymnast. He represented Turkey at the 2020 Olympic Games and is the 2022 World Champion on still rings. Personal life Abdelrahman Elgamal was born in Alexandria, Egypt on . Gymnastics career Representing Egypt 2017 A member of the Egyptian national team, Elgamal took part in the Paris Challenge Cup in France and the Varna Challenge Cup in Bulgaria. He later competed at the World Championships in Montreal where he finished 37th in the all-around during qualification and did not advance to any event finals. 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games
The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games ( tr, 2021 İslami Dayanışma Oyunları) were the 5th edition of the event held from 9 to 18 August 2022 at Konya, Turkey under the aegis of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF). It was the first time in history that the event was organised by the Turkish Olympic Committee. Formerly scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021, the event was postponed to be held from 10 to 19 September 2021 in July 2020 by the ISSF because the original dates were coinciding with the 2020 Summer Olympics, which were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In May 2021, the ISSF postponed the event to August 2022 citing the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the participating countries. Gymnastics At The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games
Gymnastics at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games was held in Konya, Turkey from 10 to 18 August 2022 in Konya Velodrome. Gymnastics competitions were held between 10–11 August 2022 for Men's Artistic and 17–18 August 2022 for Women's Artistic Gymnastics. Aerobic competitions were held between 13–14 August 2022 and The Rhytmic Gymnastics competitions were held on 13–14 August 2022. The Games were originally scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021 in Konya, Turkey. 2021 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2021 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Kitakyushu, Japan from October 18–24, 2021. The competition took place at the Kitakyushu City General Gymnasium. It was the third time that Japan hosted the event, following the 1995 and 2011 editions. The competition was originally scheduled to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, before the Danish Gymnastics Federation withdrew from hosting in July 2020. In November 2020, the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique announced Kitakyushu as the replacement host city for the same dates. Although the World Championships are traditionally not held in Olympic years, the postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics caused the 2021 event to fall during the same year. Andreas Toba
Andreas Toba (born 7 October 1990 in Hanover) is a German gymnast. He is a three-time Olympian, having represented Germany at the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympic Games. Personal life Toba is the son of former Romanian-German gymnast Marius Toba, who competed at three Olympic Games from 1988 to 2000. He's currently a student in Hannover. Career Toba started off for TK Hannover and is trained by Reinhard Rückriem. At the 2008 Junior European championship in Lausanne, Toba won the bronze medal with his team and placed 7th on the high bar and 9th in the multiple stage-competition respectively. Toba entered the German national team in 2009. In the 2009 German championship, he placed 6th in the multiple stage competition and 7th one year later. David Belyavskiy
David Sagitovich Belyavskiy ( rus, Давид Сагитович Белявский, , dɐˈvʲid bʲɪˈlʲafskʲɪɪ̯; born 23 February 1992) is a Russian artistic gymnast and three-time Olympian, representing Russia in 2012 and 2016 and ROC in 2020. He was part of the teams who won gold at the 2020 Olympic Games and 2019 World Championships and silver at the 2016 Olympic Games and 2018 World Championships. Individually Belyavskiy won an Olympic bronze medal on parallel bars in 2016 and a World silver and bronze medal on pommel horse and parallel bars, respectively, in 2017. The 2017 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships was the forty-seventh edition of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The competition was held from October 2–8, 2017, at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The event marked the first time since 2003 that the Championships had been held in North America. Montreal was also the host of the 1985 World Championships and the 1976 Summer Olympics.
