Federica Abbate (born in 1991) is an Italian composer, lyricist and singer-songwriter. Life and career Abbate started playing piano at 5 years old and graduated in sociology. In 2013 she won a contest for songwriters promoted by SIAE and by the Comune of Genoa, "Genova per voi", and got a contract with Universal Music Group. For her songs, she generally is the sole author for the music and collaborates with (Alfredo Giulio Rapetti, the son of Mogol) for the lyrics. Abbate wrote over 100 songs, including successful hits the diamond certified hits " Roma-Bangkok" for Baby K and Giusy Ferreri, "L'amore Eternit" for Fedez and Noemi. Michele Yvette Abbate (born March 9, 1988) is an American professional racing driver. She competes in the Trans-Am Series' West Coast Championship TA2 class for GRR Racing. Much of Abbate's career has come in road racing, where she has four championships. She has also raced in the Sports Car Club of America and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Racing career Abbate's started in hobby kart racing. After getting her first car at the age of 16 in 2004, Abbate competed in local autocross events sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America. Janet Abbate (born June 3, 1962) is an associate professor of science, technology, and society at Virginia Tech. Her research focuses on the history of computer science and the Internet, particularly on the participation of women in the field. Academic career Abbate received her bachelor's degree from Radcliffe College and her master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Jon Abbate (born June 18, 1985) is a former American football linebacker. He played college football at Wake Forest University in 2004–2006 and was signed as a free agent by the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL) in 2007. College career After redshirting his first year in college, Abbate immediately became a starter in 2004. During that redshirt freshman season, Abbate had 101 tackles, including 13 tackles for a loss. Peter J. Abbate Jr. (born March 22, 1949) is a former American politician who represented District 49 in the New York State Assembly. Abbate graduated from St. John's University and Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School. Allison Therese Abbate (born July 23, 1965) is an American film producer and animator, primarily of animated films. Biography Abbate gained experience in animation while working on ''The Little Mermaid'' for The Walt Disney Company, before working on ''The Rescuers Down Under'' and ''The Nightmare Before Christmas'' where she first met Tim Burton. Paolo (Paul) Salvatore Abbate (April 9, 1884 – April 1, 1973) was an Italian-born sculptor and minister who lived and worked in Connecticut. Personal life and education Paolo Abbate was born in Villarosa on the Italian island of Sicily. He studied under Domenico Trentacoste, director of the Accademia di Belle Arti Firenze. In 1902, he moved to the United States. Abbate was a missionary for seven years for the American Missionary Association in Pittsfield, Massachusetts before moving to Torrington, Connecticut in 1928 where he established the Sul Monte Art Association, which sponsored exhibitions of the work of local artists. His studio became a gathering place for artists and art enthusiasts. He went on to found the Torrington Artists Association and to co-found the Torrington Unico National organization.
