Michele Abbate
Michele Yvette Abbate (born March 9, 1988) is an American professional racing driver. She competes in the Trans-Am Series' West Coast Championship TA2 class for GRR Racing. Much of Abbate's career has come in road racing, where she has four championships. She has also raced in the Sports Car Club of America and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Racing career Abbate's started in hobby kart racing. After getting her first car at the age of 16 in 2004, Abbate competed in local autocross events sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America. Her first national event came iat Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego in 2007, where she finished on the podium. In 2008, she moved to time attack competitions and occasionally competed in INEX legends car racing where she developed her road racing experience. National Auto Sport Association
The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is an American motorsports organization promoting road racing and high-performance driver education. Founded in 1991, NASA hosts High Performance Driving Events (HPDE), automotive rallies, Time Trial, autocross and amateur, club-level automotive racing, divided amongst regionally based chapters within the United States. In September 2006, NASA held its first-ever National Championships at Mid-Ohio. The 2021 Fr8Auctions 200 was the 4th stock car race of the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, and the 16th iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 in Hampton, Georgia at Atlanta Motor Speedway, a permanent quad-oval in a doubleheader with the NASCAR Xfinity Series with the 2021 EchoPark 250. The race would take 130 laps to complete. It was held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Sonoma Raceway (originally known as Sears Point Raceway from 1967 to 1980 and 1982 to 2002, Golden State International Raceway in 1981 and Infineon Raceway from 2002 to 2012) is a road course and dragstrip located at Sears Point in the southern Sonoma Mountains of Sonoma County, California. The SCCA National Championship Runoffs is the end-of-year championship race meeting for Sports Car Club of America Club Racing competitors. Divisional champions and other top drivers from the SCCA's 116 regions are invited to participate at the Runoffs. National championships are awarded to the winners of each class.
