Abbas Alasgarov
Abbas Alasgarov Abbas oglu ( az, Abbas Ələsgərov Abbas oğlu; 13 December 1937 – 18 February 2018) was an Azerbaijani engineer and politician who served as the Chairman of the State Committee for City Building and Architecture of Azerbaijan from 2007. Construction engineer by profession, Asgarov is the chairman of the Union of Azerbaijani Architects and one of the authors of the main plan of Baku. Early life Asgarov was born in 1937 in Baku, Azerbaijan. He started his career in construction in 1960 when he was employed by the Ministry of Construction. He then worked at the Industrial Construction Ministry for several years. While working as the Senior Engineer at ''Orgtekhstroy'' state company, he managed the design and construction of nine microdistricts of Baku, several microdistricts in Nakhchivan, Ganja, Sumgayit, Communal Air Conditionals Plant, Republican Palace, Gulustan Palace, Baku Deepwater Structures Plant, Kura River channels, Tree Refinery Factory in Alat, ...

State Committee For City Building And Architecture (Azerbaijan)
The State Committee of Urban Planning and Architecture ( az, Azərbaycan Respublikası Dövlət Şəhərsalma və Arxitektura Komitəsi) is a governmental agency within the Cabinet of Azerbaijan in charge of regulating the urban construction and development and overseeing architectural activities in Azerbaijan. The Committee is headed by Anar Guliyev. History The committee was established on February 28, 2006 on the basis of ''State Construction and Architecture Committee'' which was abolished on the same day and its component entities of ''Azərdövlətsənayelayihə State Design Institute'', ''State Appraisal Department'' were transferred to the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Yasamal is a settlement and raion in Baku, Azerbaijan. It has a population of 245,900. One of the central districts of Baku, Yasamal district, was established in 1932 as the administrative unit of the district, from the south to Sabail (3 km), west from Garadagh (3.2 km), north from Binagadi (2.8 km) and Nasimi (5 km) borders with regions. The territory of the district is 16.22 km2. Architecture In Baku
The architecture of Baku is not characterized by any particular architectural style, having accumulated its buildings over a long period of time. In itself, Baku contains a wide variety of styles, progressing through Masud Ibn Davud's 12th century Maiden Tower and the educational institutions and buildings of the Russian Imperial era. Sharaf Order ( az, "Şərəf" ordeni) - translated as the ''Order of Honor'', is an order of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Baku Boulevard ( az, Dənizkənarı Milli Park, also known as National Park) is a promenade established in 1909 which runs parallel to Baku's seafront. Its history goes back more than 100 years, to a time when Baku oil barons built their mansions along the Caspian shore and when the seafront was artificially built up inch by inch. Lökbatan
Lokbatan is a settlement and municipality in Baku, Azerbaijan. It has a population of 33,245. The municipality consists of the settlements of Lokbatan, Shubany, and Heybat. It is the location of a large mud volcano, and a historic oilfield. One of the first moving pictures filmed in Azerbaijan was of an oil well blowout in the 1930s.
