Abang Norsillmy Taha
Abang Nor Sillmy bin Abang Haji Taha (born 11 August 1978) is a Bruneian footballer who plays for Ar Rawda FC of the Brunei-Muara District League. He was a member of the Brunei national representative team for the Malaysian league that won the 1999 Malaysia Cup. He is a versatile player who has played at various positions throughout his career. Club career Brunei Initially a central defender, Norsillmy was a relative newcomer to the Brunei squad that was competing in the Malaysian M-League in 1999, coached by Englishman David Booth. Although they finished seventh in Premier One, they began a hot streak in the subsequent Malaysia Cup campaign which concluded with winning the silverware, Brunei's first in 20 years of participation. Norsillmy played in that final, a 2-1 victory over Sarawak hosted at the Merdeka Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. Statistics of the Brunei Premier League for the 2003 season. Overview It was contested by 20 teams, and Wijaya FC won the championship. On 5 October, Wijaya beat Indera in their final match of the season courtesy of a solitary Norsillmy Taha goal. DPMM FC would win the championship if they produced the same result against ABDB the following day, as they had a superior goal difference to Wijaya's in their identical league win–loss record. The Brunei FA Cup is Brunei's premier knockout tournament in men's football. The current format is administered by the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) since 2012. The championship winner will receive B$10,000 and first runner up will get B$7,000 ($5,000 USD) as prize money. Riwandi Wahit
Riwandi Wahit (born 6 March 1981) is a Bruneian footballer who last played as a striker for Najip FC of the Brunei Super League. He previously played for QAF FC for more than a decade. Riwandi began his career with the Bruneian representative team playing in the Malaysian league system, starting in 1999 with the team that won the Malaysia Cup that year. He moved to Brunei's domestic league with newly formed QAF FC in 2003, entering the B-League in its second season. Michael Jones (24 March 1947 – 9 August 2022) was an English professional footballer and coach. Playing career Jones started his career as a central defender for Derby County, then managed by Brian Clough, and moved on to Notts County in 1969. The Stadium Merdeka (also known as Merdeka Stadium/; English: Independence Stadium) is a stadium based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is known as the site of the formal declaration of independence of the Federation of Malaya on 31 August 1957. The stadium is also the site of the proclamation of Malaysia on 16 September 1963.
