Aaron Stevens (baseball)
Aaron Stevens is an American college baseball coach and former third baseman. He played college baseball at Nicholls Colonels baseball, Nicholls State for coach Mike Knight from 1985 to 1988. He then served as the head coach of the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils baseball, Mississippi Valley State Devils (2015–2021) Early life Stevens attended Lanier High School (Jackson, Mississippi), Lanier High School in Jackson, Mississippi. Stevens then accepted a scholarship to attend Nicholls State University. Coaching career After 14 seasons as an assistant at Mississippi Valley State University, Stevens was promoted to head coach on December 2, 2014. On the heels of back-to-back win-less seasons in 2020 and 2021, Stevens was not retained for the 2022 season. Nicholls Colonels Baseball
The Nicholls Colonels baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The team is a member of the Southland Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. Nicholls State's first baseball team was fielded in 1960. The team plays its home games at 2,100-seat Ben Meyer Diamond at Ray E. Didier Field and is coached by Mike Silva. The 2018 NCAA Division I Baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began in February 2018.
