Aaron Stainthorpe
Aaron Stainthorpe (born 12 November 1968) is an English singer who is the lead vocalist for doom metal band My Dying Bride. In December 2005, it was announced that Stainthorpe would lend his voice and some lyrics to a song with Sarah Jezebel Deva's new band Angtoria. "Original Sin", taken from the band's first album ''God Has a Plan for Us All'', was released in April 2006. Stainthorpe has made other guest appearances on Dominion's ''Interface'' and Disincarnate's ''Dreams of the Carrion Kind''. He also made a narration appearance on Dreambreed's ''Sometime'' mini-album in 1995. In 2021 he was a guest vocalist on the debut album of the romanian doom metal band Olympus Mons. Personal life Stainthorpe was born in England but moved to Germany when he was six months old, because his British army officer father was stationed in the country. Doom Metal
Doom metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music that typically uses slower tempos, low-tuned guitars and a much "thicker" or "heavier" sound than other heavy metal genres.K. James Franklin Murphy (born July 30, 1967) is an American guitarist. He is best known for his work in metal bands Obituary (band), Obituary, Death (metal band), Death and Testament (band), Testament. He founded Disincarnate, an early death metal band. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2001 but recovered. In October 2011, Murphy stated that the tumor had returned but that it was non-cancerous and that it was being treated pharmacologically. He is working on a tribute album to Death founder Chuck Schuldiner who died from pneumonia, caused by complications of his treatment for a brain tumor. He also produced Deron Miller's band World Under Blood. Halifax () is a minster and market town in the Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale in West Yorkshire, England. History ''Dreams of the Carrion Kind'', Disincarnate's only album ever, was released in 1993, near the zenith of the Florida death metal scene, through Roadrunner Records. It was reissued on February 24, 2004 with bonus tracks. Music The album stands out for its inaccessible sounds and sheer technique. Most of its tracks feature complex structures and constant riff and tempo changes. It features strong riffs, sledgehammer percussion from Tommy Viator and spiraling harmonic streaks; the Bass guitar, bass is almost invisible.
