Aaron Ernest
Aaron Troy Ernest (born November 8, 1993) is an American sprinter who specializes in the 100 meters and 200 metres. He went to Homewood high school and competed for the LSU Tigers from 2012 to 2015. A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Ernest relocated to Alabama where he attended Homewood High School. He was an All-USA high school Track and Field team selection by ''USA Today'' in 2011. His 2011 season bests in 100 m (10.17s) and 200 m (20.86 s). At the 85th Texas Relays in March 2012, Ernest placed first in the 100 metres in the university group, behind only Jeff Demps of the University of Florida. Classified as a junior athlete for the 2012 season, Ernest is eligible for the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics. His 100 m season best of 10.15 seconds was second among juniors in the 2012 season, behind only Adam Gemili. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons football team represents Wake Forest University in the sport of American football. The Demon Deacons compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The UAB Blazers football team represents the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in the sport of American football. The Blazers compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and American Athletic Conference (The American). The team is led by interim head coach Bryant Vincent, who has held the position since 2022. Home games were previously held at Legion Field in Birmingham from the 1991 season to the 2020 season. The Southern Miss Golden Eagles football program represents the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Adam Ahmed Gemili (born 6 October 1993) is a British sprinter. He is the 2014 European champion at 200 metres, and 4 x 100 metres relay, and part of the Great Britain team that won gold in the 2017 World Championships in the same event. He was the first British Athlete to go sub-10s in the 100m and sub-20s in the 200m. A silver medalist in the 100 metres and 4 × 100 m relay in the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Gemili is also a former World Junior champion at 100 m and European Under-23 champion at 100 m and 4 × 100 m relay.
