Honami 'Amy' Furuhara (born in Kawakami, Nagano), known professionally as Aaamyyy (, stylized as AAAMYYY) is a Japanese people, Japanese electronic musician. Originally a member of electronic pop groups Go Retro and Eimie, Furuhara began working with the psychedelic rock band Tempalay from 2015 (becoming an official member in 2018), and starting a solo career in 2017. Biography Amy Furuhara grew up in a rural community in Nagano Prefecture. She first became interested in music when she joined the light music club in high school, where she primarily played the drums. Furuhara was inspired by musicians such as M.I.A. (rapper), M.I.A. and T-Pain who she heard after traveling to Canada as an exchange student in 2008, and by final year of high school she had begun composing songs. ''Body'' is the debut studio album by Japanese electronic musician Aaamyyy, released on February 6, 2019. Background and development Aaamyyy first worked as a musician in the early 2010s after returning to Japan from Canada, as a member of electropop groups Go Retro and Eimie. In 2017 and 2018, Aaamyyy made her solo debut, releasing a series of three extended plays digitally and on cassette. Aaamyyy began recording ''Body'' in October 2018. A concept album set in 2615, the release was inspired by Netflix television shows such as ''Black Mirror'' and ''Maniac'' (2018). The album featured collaborations with four musicians: Matton, vocalist for the Japanese band Paellas, Conyplankton from Tawings, and two US-based musicians, Computer Magic and Jil. Tempalay
is a Japanese lo-fi psychedelic pop band that formed in 2014. Biography Tempalay was formed in 2014, when Ryōto Ohara and Yūya Takeuchi met drummer Natsuki Fujimoto in Tokyo. The band's vocalist Ryōto Ohara, originally from Kōchi Prefecture, had moved to Saitama to pursue a career in music in 2011, and started making music with drummer Yūya Takeuchi, who he met in a bar. After forming at the Fuji Rock Festival's "Rookie a Go-Go" stage in 2015, the band released their debut extended play ''Instant Hawaii'' through P-Vine Records. From 2015, Aaamyyy from the band Eimie began working as a live support member of the band, performing background vocals and on the synthesizer. Kawakami, Nagano
is a village located in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. , the village had an estimated population of 4,009 in 1419 households, and a population density of 19 persons per km². The total area of the village is . The village office is located at an altitude of 1,185 meters, the highest of any municipality in Japan. The , also known as Supersonic, is an annual two- or three-day rock festival held at the same time in Osaka and Chiba, Japan. The majority of the bands playing in Osaka the first day go to Chiba the following day and vice versa.
