"A Wild Pear" is a split EP from the Canadian garage rock band The Evaporators and American rock artist Andrew W.K. It was released on June 23, 2009, and features one original song and one cover by The Evaporators on side 1 and two covers by Andrew W.K. and an interview by Nardwuar the Human Serviette (lead singer and keyboardist of The Evaporators) with Andrew W.K. on side 2. The EP features cover art by cartoonist Mitch Clem. The album title and cover art are a parody of the album " A Wild Pair", a promotional album released in 1968 by Coca-Cola and featuring The Guess Who The Guess Who are a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1965. The Evaporators
The Evaporators is a Canadian garage rock band formed in 1986 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Nardwuar, its founding member, is also known for interviewing musicians and celebrities. As of 2007, the band consists of vocalist/keyboardist Nardwuar the Human Serviette, guitarist David Carswell, bassist John Collins, and drummer Scott Livingstone. History As well as recording and performing as a separate group, The Evaporators often collaborate with other musicians, including Rodney Graham and Andrew W.K. John Collins is a member of the band The New Pornographers and David Carswell is in The Smugglers. The band members also perform as Thee Goblins and sometimes under other names. Mitch Andrew Clem (born September 15, 1982) is an American cartoonist best known for his web comics '' Nothing Nice To Say'', ''San Antonio Rock City'', and ''My Stupid Life''. Biography Early life Clem was born in Minneapolis, on September 15, 1982. He moved around through various locations in Minnesota, including Coon Rapids, Brooklyn Park, Andover, Melrose, Duluth, and St. Cloud. He says that this is a result of his "rampant inability to sit still for more than six months at a time." Clem became interested in comic strips as a child, reading the newspaper strips. He cites ''Calvin and Hobbes'' and ''The Far Side'' as the most influential on him in those days. He also credits ''Looney Tunes'' as being a childhood influence on his interest in cartooning. The Guess Who
The Guess Who are a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1965.
