''A Skeletal Domain'' is the thirteenth studio album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse. Released on September 16, 2014 by Metal Blade Records, the album was produced at Audiohammer Studios by Mark Lewis. The album entered the US ''Billboard'' 200 at number 32, making it Cannibal Corpse's highest charting album on the Billboard 200 to date. 8,825 copies were sold in its first week. Background Bassist Alex Webster said "I think it's turning out to be kind of a dark-sounding album. Which, you know, it's a death metal album, so, of course, it should be kind of dark and eerie sounding anyway, but I think this one a little more than normal. Cannibal Corpse
Cannibal Corpse is an American death metal band formed in Buffalo, New York in 1988, now based out of Tampa, Florida. The band has released fifteen studio albums, two box sets, four video albums, and two live albums. The band has had little radio or television exposure throughout its existence, although a cult following began to build with the releases of their early albums, including '' Butchered at Birth'' (1991) and '' Tomb of the Mutilated'' (1992). As of 2015, they achieved worldwide sales of two million units for combined sales of all their albums. Vincent Locke () is an American comic book artist known for his work on '' Deadworld'' and '' A History of Violence'' and for his ultraviolent album covers for death metal band Cannibal Corpse. Biography Locke began work in 1986 illustrating '' Deadworld'', a zombie horror comic that soon became an underground hit. Since then, his illustrative talents in comics have included '' The Sandman'', ''American Freak'', ''Batman'', ''Witchcraft: Le Terreur'', '' The Spectre'', and '' A History of Violence'', which was later made into a movie directed by David Cronenberg and starring Viggo Mortensen. George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher
George Fisher (born July 8, 1970), better known by his stage name Corpsegrinder, is an American death metal vocalist who is the lead singer of Cannibal Corpse, Paths of Possession and the supergroup Serpentine Dominion. He recorded two albums with Florida's Monstrosity before leaving and joining Cannibal Corpse in late 1995, replacing vocalist Chris Barnes, who is now the vocalist for Six Feet Under. Rob Barrett
Robert Joseph Barrett III (born January 29, 1970) is the guitarist for death metal band Cannibal Corpse. He played with the band from 1993 to 1997 and rejoined in 2005. He has cited Gary Moore, Malcolm Young, Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen, Tony Iommi and Steve Vai, among others, as his influences. He currently resides in Tampa, Florida. Career Barrett was born in Buffalo, New York. He started his professional career in 1990 when he formed the band Solstice with drummer Alex Marquez and guitar player Dennis Muñoz. The band recorded a demo in 1991 produced by Jim Morris and signed a record deal with the German label SPV/Steamhammer. In 1992 they released their debut album entitled ''Solstice'' (the name changed to "The Sentencing" on some pressings).
