A Dal 2017
Hungary participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The local Media Services and Support Trust Fund (MTVA) and the Hungarian broadcaster Duna Media Service organised the national final ''A Dal 2017'' in order to select the Hungarian entry for the 2017 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. Background Prior to the 2017 contest, Hungary had participated in the Eurovision Song Contest fourteen times since its first entry in . Hungary's best placing in the contest was fourth, which they achieved with their début entry in 1994 with the song "Kinek mondjam el vétkeimet?" performed by Friderika Bayer. Hungary had attempted participate in the contest in 1993, however, their entry was eliminated in the preselection show ''Kvalifikacija za Millstreet''. Hungary withdrew from the contest for six years between 1999 and 2004 and also missed the 2006 and 2010 contests. Joci Pápai
József "Joci" Pápai (; born 22 September 1981) is a Hungarian singer, rapper and guitarist of Romani people in Hungary, Romani descent. He represented Hungary in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, Hungary at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Origo (song), Origo" finishing in 8th place. Hungary participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. The Hungarian entry was selected through a national selection format titled again ''A Dal'' (which means "The Song"), consisting of three heats, two semi-finals and a final, organised by the Hungarian broadcaster MTVA. ByeAlex represented Hungary with the song "Kedvesem", which qualified from the second semi-final of the competition and finished in 10th place in the final, scoring 84 points. Before Eurovision ''A Dal 2013'' ''A Dal 2013'' was the second edition of ''A Dal'' which selected the Hungarian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. Leander Kills
Leander Kills is a Hungarian metal band, created by guitarist and singer Leander Köteles of Leander Rising fame. Other members include Miklós Czifra (Balkan Fanatik, Amigod) and András Vermes playing guitars, and Valentin Jankai (Blind Myself) playing the drums. Kata Csondor (born 15 March 1978, Budapest, Hungary) is a Hungarian voice actress, singer, and songwriter. Csondor has dubbed since childhood. Some of her most well-known dubs were that of Chloe Sullivan in the TV series Smallville and Black Widow Scarlett Johansson in the movie Avengers. She also sings. Rocktenors is a Hungarian rock band from Szigetszentmiklos formed in 2010, which was started by the second season of the RTL Klub series X-Faktor, and came in sixth place, and subsequently became one of the most successful groups in the series. History 2010–2011 – Origins and X-Faktor Rocktenors was founded in 2010 by Zoltán Mező, Márió Mező, and Márk Táborosi. Károly Frenreisz
Károly Frenreisz (born 8 November 1946, Budapest, Hungary) is a Hungarian rock singer and songwriter. Life Frenreisz first studied piano and then learned to play the clarinet, saxophone, and bass. He was from 1965 to 1971 part of the band Metró. The most famous song he wrote while in the band was ''Citromízű banán''. Adrienn Zsédenyi (born 30 December 1974), known as Zséda, is a Hungarian Music Awards, Fonogram and EMeRTon award-winning Hungarian singer. Life Zseda grew up in Szentes and attended the Mihály Horváth Secondary School where she joined drama and literature groups.
