Automated X-ray Inspection
Automated inspection (AXI) is a technology based on the same principles as automated optical inspection (AOI). It uses as its source, instead of visible light, to automatically inspect features, which are typically hidden from view. Automated X-ray inspection is used in a wide range of industries and applications, predominantly with two major goals: # Process optimization, i.e. the results of the inspection are used to optimize following processing steps, # Anomaly detection, i.e. the result of the inspection serve as a criterion to reject a part (for scrap or re-work). Whilst AOI is mainly associated with electronics manufacturing (due to widespread use in PCB manufacturing), AXI has a much wider range of applications. It ranges from the quality check of alloy wheels to the detection of bone fragments in processed meat. Wherever large numbers of very similar items are produced according to a defined standard, automatic inspection using advanced image processing and pattern reco ...

Axi-Shield
Rubbernecking is a derogatory term primarily used to refer to bystanders staring at accidents. More generally, it can refer to anyone staring at something of everyday interest compulsively (especially tourists). The term ''rubbernecking'' derives from the neck's appearance while trying to get a better view, that is, crane one's neck. Rubberneck is associated with morbid curiosity. It is often the cause of traffic jams, sometimes referred to as "gapers' block" or "gapers' delay", as drivers slow down to see what happened in a crash. ''Rubberneck'' is considered as of 2007 unconventional English or slang. Etymology The term ''rubbernecking'' was a term coined in America in the 1890s to refer to tourists. H.L. Mencken said the word ''rubberneck'' is "almost a complete treatise on American psychology" and "one of the best words ever coined". By 1909, ''rubbernecking'' was used to describe the wagons, automobiles and buses used in tours around American cities, and through their Chi ...

Axi-cel
Axicabtagene ciloleucel, sold under the brand name Yescarta, is a medication used for the treatment for large B-cell lymphoma that has failed conventional treatment. T cells are removed from a person with lymphoma and genetically engineered to produce a specific T-cell receptor. The resulting chimeric antigen receptor T cells (CAR-Ts) that react to the cancer are then given back to the person to populate the bone marrow. Axicabtagene treatment carries a risk for cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurological toxicities. Due to CD19 being a pan-B cell marker, the T-cells that are engineered to target CD19 receptors on the cancerous B cells also influence normal B cells, except some plasma cells. Side effects Because treatment with axicabtagene carries a risk of cytokine release syndrome and neurological toxicities, the FDA has mandated that hospitals be certified for its use prior to treatment of any patients. History It was developed by California-based Kite Pharma. Axicabt ...

Growth Hormone 1
Growth hormone 1, also known as pituitary growth hormone or simply as growth hormone (GH) or somatotropin, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ''GH1'' gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the somatotropin/prolactin family of hormones that play an important role in growth control. The gene, along with four other related genes, is located at the growth hormone locus on chromosome 17 where they are interspersed in the same transcriptional orientation, an arrangement thought to have evolved by a series of gene duplications. The five genes share a remarkably high degree of sequence identity. Alternative splicing generates additional isoforms of each of the five growth hormones, leading to further diversity and potential for specialization. This particular family member is expressed in the pituitary but not in placental tissue as is the case for the other four genes in the growth hormone locus. Mutations in or deletions of the gene lead to growth hormone defic ...

Capsicum Axi
''Capsicum annuum'' is a species of the plant genus ''Capsicum'' native to southern North America, the Caribbean, and northern South America. This species is the most common and extensively cultivated of the five domesticated capsicums. The species encompasses a wide variety of shapes and sizes of peppers, including sweet bell peppers and some chili pepper varieties such as jalapeños, New Mexico chile, and cayenne peppers. Cultivars descended from the wild American bird pepper are still found in warmer regions of the Americas. In the past, some woody forms of this species have been called '' C. frutescens'', but the features that were used to distinguish those forms appear in many populations of ''C. annuum'' and are not consistently recognizable features in ''C. frutescens'' species. Characteristics Although the species name ''annuum'' means 'annual' (from the Latin ''annus'' "year"), the plant is not an annual but is frost tender. In the absence of winter frosts it can survive ...

Advanced EXtensible Interface
The Advanced eXtensible Interface (AXI), is an on-chip communication bus protocol developed by ARM. It is part of the Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture 3 (AXI3) and 4 (AXI4) specifications. AXI has been introduced in 2003 with the AMBA3 specification. In 2010, a new revision of AMBA, AMBA4, defined the AXI4, AXI4-Lite and AXI4-Stream protocol. AXI is royalty-free and its specification is freely available from ARM. AMBA AXI specifies many optional signals, which can be included depending on the specific requirements of the design, making AXI a versatile bus for numerous applications. While the communication over an AXI bus is between a single initiator and a single target, the specification includes detailed description and signals to include N:M interconnects, able to extend the bus to topologies with more initiators and targets. AMBA AXI4, AXI4-Lite and AXI4-Stream have been adopted by Xilinx and many of its partners as main communication buses in their products. Threa ...
