ANT1 Group
Antenna Group, formerly known as ANT1 Group, is a media company in Greece and currently the largest Greek media company. It was established on 2 August 1989 by Minos Kyriakou. Today, his son, Theodore Kyriakou, heads up a media empire whose operations include broadcasting, radio, publishing, digital, educational services, telecommunications and a record label. At the cornerstone of the company is ANT1 TV, one of the largest and most successful private television networks in Greece. ANT1 Group has also expanded its operations abroad, launching international feeds of ANT1 TV for Greek audiences abroad. Nova (Bulgarian TV Channel)
Nova, stylized as NOVA and previously marketed as NTV or Nova Television, is a Bulgarian free-to-air television network launched on 16 July 1994 ( 28 years ago ). Nova TV, alongside the channels Kino Nova, Nova Sport, DIEMA, Diema Family and Diema Sport are part of Nova Broadcasting Group and owned by United Group. On 31 July 2008, Swedish media conglomerate Modern Times Group bought Nova TV from Antenna Group for €620 million. The deal was completed on 16 October 2008. Antenna, better known as ANT1, is a television network airing in Greece. The alternate spelling is wordplay in Greek; ''ena'' (ένα) is the Greek number ''1'' (one), thus ''ANT1'' is pronounced the same as ''Antenna'' (Αντέννα). It launched on 31 December 1989, and is owned by Antenna Group. ANT1 had been a popular network in Greece for years with its line up of soap series including dramas ''Lampsi'' and ''Kalimera Zoi''. Viasat 6 (formerly known as TV6 until February 11, 2011) is one of the thematic television channels of Antenna Group. History The channel launched on January 28, 2008. On April 1, 2013, the aspect ratio was changed to 16:9 and the channel got a new visual image. Kiss TV is a music television station located in Bucharest owned by Antenna Group . History At the beginning of 2014, Kiss TV was entirely taken over by the Greek media company Antenna Group, following the withdrawal of ProSiebenSat.1 Media, the old owner of Kiss TV from 2006 till 2013. Fresh Top 40 Fresh Top 40 is the music chart presented by Kiss TV. The chart is weekly and is voted by viewers, on Kiss TV's site. Kiss TV begun producing the chart in late 2006.
